Parts Compatible with a Trevi Boost Shower

Updated on August 12, 2015

If like me you have had a Trevi Boost shower fitted in your home, you may or may not be aware that Ideal standard have stopped making spare parts for it.

That means that if you need a new shower head for example, because of the low pressure flow system of the Trevi Boost, you cannot simply buy a shower head from your local plumb centre because it will not work.

I know from experience – you get a dribble of water coming out , certainly not enough for a shower.

You also cannot buy a shower hose to fit into the shower head holder that holds the shower head up, using an incompatible hose will break the holder and you won’t be able to get a replacement for that either.

In short, if you have a Trevi Boost shower and any part of it fails, you are looking at buying a whole new shower.

Our new Aqualisa shower head replaced the old damaged Trevi Boost one.

Or are you?....

After extensive research and against all odds I have found parts compatible with my Trevi Boost shower and I’d like to share the information with any other poor souls in a similar predicament.

The compatible shower is called an Aqualisa Varispray – the shower head holder, hose and shower head are compatible if not better than the Trevi Boost riser rail set-up.

If the riser rail also needs replacing, the screw-hole spacings should allow you to substitute the Aqualisa rail for the Trevi curved rail without tile damage or additional holes showing.

I replaced most of my Trevi Boost shower with the Aqualisa Varispray a month ago and can vouch for the fact that the shower head and hose combi give a better shower than the original Trevi parts. In a sleek chrome and brushed aluminium finish it also looks impressive and cleans well.

Finally we have an answer to how to replace our old Trevi Boost shower head - and it gleams!
