There One Is
My Bubble Has Been Exploded
Yes. I dug up potatoes. There was no glass door with plastic bags clearly labeling what potato product I was getting.
There was no convenience. I found a box. I found a potato fork. I located the potato plant and pressed my foot against the fork and started to dig potatoes.
I didn't even quite know where the plants were, since you have to wait until the plants have dried up and almost disappeared before you look for your crop. Good thing we marked the rows with wooden stakes.
No It Was Not Fun
I'm glad the temperature was 59 degrees when I dug. The ground was hard and dry, but the potatoes nestled into my vision as I pushed the fork in and tipped the tines up. I did manage to find a whole box of potatoes for my efforts.
My nose is running but that is good since the local farmers have been taking out crops in the fields and it has been too dusty for my sinuses, so this working and nose thing is okay.

My Husband Offered to Help
He offered to drive his bobcat into the garden with the forks on and dredge the potato row.
I decided to do it without him. When he gets home later, he can re dig the row and maybe we'll find a lot I missed. But, until then, I'm using the potato fork...
