Review of Beko CDA554S Fridge Freezer in Silver

Updated on February 23, 2010

Overall quite pleased with this product. Looks reasonably good in my kitchen and fits really well considering the restricted space I have available. Not the largest fridge/freezer by any means (quite small and very narrow in fact) - but it does what it says on the tin and keeps my food cool and cold.

Its only been one month at this point, but I have to say that this appliance is pretty quiet (really have to strain to hear it to be honest) and the chrome/silver effect makes it look a lot more expensive than it is. It is a bit narrow - but as mentioned above, that suits my kitchen and space just fine.

  • Quiet
  • Silver/Chrome effect looks really good

Some complaints I'd have is that there doesn't seem to be space for Milk Jugs & bottles in the door at the same time - although the clever flap inside the Fridge allows you to stand up a Milk Jug, it dramatically takes away from the space available inside the fridge itself.

In addition Jam jars or slightly larger don't fit on upper shelves! You have to lie them down vs. standing them up which ends up taking even more space.

Final Consensus

I would buy this again ... I got it at an extremely competitive price after much research and the overall look at a great price point works quite well for myself and my family.  I'm not sure how long it will last but right now - definitely worth 4stars!

definitely agree ... although having that old fashioned SMEG fridge sometimes makes a kitchen more modern!

Good review, I think the only colours for fridge freezers in a modern kitchen are black or silver unless you are going for a retro look!
