Scentsy Candles - A Beautiful, Safe and Economical Alternative

Updated on September 20, 2011

Scentsy Wickless Flameless Candles are a beautiful, safe, and economical alternative to old fashioned candles.

Hi, my name is Rene and I am an Independent Scentsy Consultant.

For years I have bought numerous candles to adorn my home. I also bought candles to make my home smell the way I wanted it to smell. For years, I have also worried about leaving a candle on and have returned home many times just to blow out a candle. If you are a candle lover, I am sure you have done the same.
What I had not considered amongst the running around, between the purchasing, and smelling, and blowing out candles, and lighting candles, and burning fingers, was that I was behind the times.
I was putting my home in danger with toxic chemicals emitted from these old fashioned candles, which often times include lead. On top of this I was having to spend time doing extra cleaning from all the soot deposits left behind on surfaces by the burning candle. An even bigger and more instant danger was the fact that sometimes, out of forgetfulness, or because of all the running around I was doing, is that I was leaving the candles on at times.
Yes, I have left a candle burning. I have left one burning when I went away to the store, when I went out to eat, and yes, even when I went to bed for the night. I took a job as a restoration manager in Houston, TX and there, I learned that approximately 18,000 fires are caused each year by old fashioned candles with a wick. My love of candles has not subsided however. I still love them, and I still keep them around. I am a lot safer with them since I have more knowledge on fire safety. Let me point out though, that I only keep one or two in the house now, and no more.
I was having to purchase large pillar candles (about 2 monthly) and the cost on that was about $30 each month. This cost of course, does not include the cost of smaller scented candles.
One day, a friend of mine asked if I had ever tried Scentsy. Personally, I had never heard of Scentsy, but I was willing to give it a try. I ordered a warmer and one bar. The cost was around $40, and I thought, well, this is about how much I spend on a couple of pillars, so let's see how this works out.
Three months later, and I still own this beautiful warmer and I am almost out of the wax. By the way, I only paid $5 for the wax and it has lasted this long. I also signed up to become a Scentsy Independent Consultant and my sales are increasing each month. Needless to say, I have saved over $60 in the two months that I have not bought traditional candles. Not only that, but I don't have to worry about blowing out candles, and the Lemongrass Coconut scent is to die for! It spreads throughout a large part of my home and I no longer have a need to buy tons of individual small candles. Did I mention my beautiful warmer? There are so many choices and so many styles to choose from.
So there you have it. By buying Scentsy products you have a beautiful warmer that lasts for as many years as you want it to last, you save money by throwing out the old candles and using longer lasting Scentsy wax. You also don't burn down your home in the process:)
