DOGS AND CATS ARE COOL :
So Obey The Golden Rule ,
By Taking Good Care Of Them,
And By Being No One's Fool,
Or You Just Might Break The Golden Rule.
DOGS AND CATS ARE COOL : Poem Part 2
So Let It Be A Golden Rule,
To Love Them While You Go To School,
To Hug Them While You Wash The Car,
To Feed Them While You Scrub The Swimming Pool,
To Put Water In Their Bowls While Your Doing Your Homework.
MY DOG BILLY BOY:
I love Billy Boy.
Because He Brings Me Joy.
And Because He Is No Toy.
MY DOG PIPER :
My Dog Piper.
Has Never Been A Griper.
Only My Sweet Liker.
MY DOG JUNER:
Is A Golden Crooner.
And Protects Us Ever Sooner.
And All HoneyMooners.
THERES NOTHING BRAVER THAN A DOG :
And I Hope You Never Have To Prove it.
But Once You See it.
You'll Believe it.
AND THERE"S NOTHING BRAVER THAN A CAT :
And If You Think I'm Wrong,
Listen To My Song.
Cats Fight Back.
As They Mark Their Homes As Well As You,
With True Affection,
And Their Love.
To Show God Above,
That You Belong To Them ,
As Much As They Belong To You.
Because They Are True Blue.
LOVE YOUR CAT: ( Short Poem )
They Will Love You Back,
They Will Beat You To Your Sack,
When You Run To Bed,
Before You Cover Your Back,
When Your In Bed,
With A Paw Above Your Head,
A DOG WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE : ( Short Poem )
I Hope You Never Have To Prove it .
I Have Seen it Once , Or Twice,
Maybe Even Thrice.
Our Dog Arthur Saved A Baby's Life ,
From Getting Killed And Stuff,
From A Highway True Enough ,
But Arthur Showed His Stuff.
Arthur Blocked The Baby,
From Getting Killed By Cars In Town ,
By Standing loyal To his ground,
So Very Mighty And Quite Profound.
Never Ever Budging , Not Even With A Frown.
Twas A Certain And Very Dangerous Path ,
The Baby In The Pedal Car,
But Arthur, And His Courage,
Turned Out To Be The Star.
True factual story that inspired the poem. A Golden Retriever left to die. Smart, loving, beautiful. We named him Arthur. Arthur loved children. Kids played with him down the next door street. A two or three year old baby in a pedal car was playing and drove his little car all the way to a real highway. Arthur stood his ground, right in front of the pedal car, never budging, never moving, six or seven feet from a busy highway. It was a sight for the world to see how God works with animals, especially sweet dogs.
God kept Arthur right there like a rock, a stone never to move , never to budge until safety came along, or a person came along. I could not believe what I saw! I had come in from working a strike, and from pulling a double shift , and took off my pants ready to drop dead in my bed , dived in bed dead tired. Then I heard the nagging sound of my barking dog constantly barking. I got up , rushed to our front door, looked far away, and saw our dog in front of that kid. I grabbed my robe, and slippers, and wrapped the robe around me fast, and ran to see what was going on.
In my robe running down the street half naked with my slippers on I witnessed it all. I turned the little kid around in his little pedal car. Arthur led the way like the leader he was.
The mother thanked me, and began to cry with tears of joy as she hugged her little boy. I said, "Don't thank me ma-mm, thank Arthur." Arthur is the one that saved your child's life.
I will never in my life ever forget the power of God over our sweet dog Arthur. A mighty hand from the power of Heaven stilled our dog, and stilled the child, like time controlled the ages.
