Spring 2015 Home Décor Ideas

Updated on February 2, 2015

Spring Decor Inspiration

Spring is almost here!

When we think of Spring, we think of fresh, clean air and bright beautiful colors. Springtime is personally my favorite time of the year. I love how nature comes back to life, from the beautiful bright flowers to the lovely butterflies and not to mention the perfect weather. It's also the time of the year when we get out our cleaning gloves and go to work. Get rid of the junk and bring life back into our homes. Spring is the perfect time to give your home décor a fresh new makeover. Add bursts of bright color, energetic patterns and lively springtime motifs to your home to effortlessly transition it into spring. For some inspiration, here are some tips to help you achieve a fresh cheery space for spring.

Accessorize your space!

One of my favorite accessories are throw pillows and even rugs. Just by adding some spunky patterned pillows and rugs, it can bring a big pop to your living room décor. You can create a casual living room that sings "spring" and brims with juicy citrus colors. Add brightly colored vases and flea market finds to your space as well for a fresh feel without spending a fortune.

Incorporate some Scuba Blue!

Love this color, one of my favs for sure. The blue inspired in the ocean is one of the colors that'll be trending this spring. From your home décor to even your fashion, don’t forget to incorporate this vibrant color to get a more cheerful air. Scuba blue is a great color to use on the walls. Also this type of blue will be perfect in little details, just like chairs, table lamps or knick knacks. The importance is to let the tropical ocean with calm waves invade and bring all its freshness to your home!

Revamp for Spring!

Here is an absolute favorite of mine, a great idea to give your bedroom a fresh new look. Add pattern to a headboard by wrapping it with a yard of mod floral fabric. Adorn barewalls with inexpensive album frames filled with patterned paper to tie in your color scheme. Add glitz to an existing bedside table with metallic paint.

Add a Simple yet Lovely Centerpiece

Bring a bit of outdoor life into your home with a lovely and bright centerpiece. Floral foam and glass marbles aren't the only ways to hold flowers aloft. Instead, a bunch of vintage milk bottles gives this arrangement its structure. Simply line up nine same-size vessels in three rows of three. Then wrap gardener's twine around the grouping twice and tie the ends. Finish the blooming display by placing two to three stems in each container. Found this lovely idea on Country Living.

Also add a touch of spring through your home by adding bright and beautiful flowers in each room.

Decal your Wall

Another quick and simple update for any plain wall surface is peel-and-stick wall decals. Like this tall tree decal, that serves as a mural backdrop for an assortment of framed family pictures and knick knacks. A great showcase and focal point idea!

Spring up your Bedroom

Strip the flannel sheets and go for cool, silky, high-thread-count cottons. Change out winter comforters, bed skirts, duvets or pillow shams for others in light-colored shimmering silks, sheers and embroidered florals.

Refresh with paint

For easy doses of hardworking color, use paint, fabric and wallpaper. They aren't permanent, so when your style needs refreshing, it's easy to repaint, rehang or re purpose. The newels and balusters, makes a great design statement. Use a bold hue, and you've got a power paint job.

Refresh with Wallpaper

Here's an easy update for your dining room for the spring. Inject pattern into your space with wallpaper to give that space a fresh and comfortable appeal. Peel-and-stick options make the job easier and removable wallpaper makes changes a cinch later on.

Be Creative

Add some bright and fun décor to your door. Show a fun first impression when your guest come over by greeting them seasonal joy. Show your creative side and have fun creating a colorful and fun wreath. Above is some really cute ideas to help give you some inspiration.

With Spring time basically just around the corner, it's never to early to start brain storming ideas to give your home a new, clean fresh look. Hope the décor ideas we shared with you gives you the inspiration and excitement to get started. It may still be February, but April will be here before you know it. Enjoy decorating your home and have fun with it, if you have little ones have them join in on little and simple projects. After all Spring Décor is a lot of fun.

Those old milk bottles tied together and used as a container for flowers would be great in a country setting. I liked many of the ideas shown here. The umbrella holding tulips was cute for a door instead of the traditional wreath. Up votes.

I was thinking of looking up this very topic and here I find it first thing. Thanks for a look at what's trending. I am planning on lightening up on every level. Lighter colors, less stuff to dust, and more. An accent wall that can be changed out seasonally is the solution.

Decorating is a little hobby of mine. Although I'm a rank amateur, I love working with and trying different colors and textures in our home. So this article was a timely and special delight, looking forward to spring. Thank you.
