The Starburst Mirror: Right for Your Retro Modern Interior

Updated on September 20, 2011

The Beauty of a Starburst Mirror

Mirrors are a versatile design object and one that can add a lot of pizzaz to any room. A starburst mirror is no exception. Mirrors can be of course, very funcitonal objects and they can, in many instances, make a room look larger or, at a minimum, make it brighter. But often, it is the frame that can bring out the best in the overall decor of the room.

A starburst mirror is often one that is reminiscient of the 1950's and 60's or the art deco period. Sleek, contemporary, and yet very eye catching.

If that retro modern look is what you're after, you probably already have the furniture, maybe some glazed ceramic lamps, shag rugs or tile, chrome, and maybe even some beads or shag rugs. Now a starburst mirror will complete the room.

On this page you'll find a variety of small and large starburst mirrors. You'll just need to identify the style and finish that will suit the space you have. Once you're done, you can take a look at some starburst wall clocks that would be another key design piece in a retro modern decor.
