Sun after Rain

Updated on May 7, 2009

I'm looking out the window and seeing some blue sky between large moving gray clouds. It's rained hard here for the past 3 or 4 days (I've lost track) and the weeds have taken over the yard and the gardens. I know I should go out and pull these suckers as the ground will be soft and it is my GOLDEN opportunity but somehow I don't have the motivation to do it. Instead I have plans to put drywall mud on these bathroom walls.

I guess I am not a true PNW'er yet as the true PNW'ers always seem to be able to do the outside work when the weather breaks and I always seem to be a step out of the rhythm of life here. Maybe I need to be less structured and more spontaneous. For now I am hoping the ground will still be soft tomorrow because today I am doing the drywall mud.

I'm probably just stubborn!

Does anyone else suffer these kinds of frustrations or conflicting interests?
