How did the Swiffer Sweeper Vac work for me?

I liked that the Swiffer Sweeper Vac was easy to handle and could access hard-to-reach places. The vacuum did not have any parts that hair or objects could get tangled in like a regular vacuum that need cleaning. The Swifer dry cloths gathered the small dust and materials the vacuum did not pick up to make it more effective than a vacuum alone or a duster alone.

What I have found is the down-side of the Swiffer products is the necessity to purchase the dry cloths for use with the Swiffer. If you run out, the vacuum is difficult to maneuver and is pointless. The vacuum is affordable but when you make the purchase, remember to factor in the cost of the dry clothes and consider how often you will use the product.

Swiffer Sweeper Vac replacement filters can be purchased for about $3-$4 per piece and these may need replacing over time. Swiffer dry cloths cost about $20 for a pack of 48. Depending on where you shop, you may find a different count box at a different price. I found on Amazon you can get a 64 count for $15-$20.

The item is convenient but not a necessity. If you hate to clean or just want a simple way to keep the floor clean daily, the Swiffer Sweeper Vac might be right for you!

Swiffer Sweeper Vac Product Details

The Swiffer Sweeper Vac is a Swiffer duster with a mini vacuum attached. This vacuum is designed for cleaning up dust, pet hair and small bits of dirt on your hardwood or tile floor. The Swiffer Sweeper Vac offers an easy way to clean quickly daily and maintain a nice looking floor until you are ready to give the floor a full mop and cleaning. I have used the Swiffer Wet Jet and the Swiffer Sweeper Vac and both products have their benefits. The Swiffer Sweeper Vac does not replace your current vacuum or work on carpet.

  • Estimated cost: $35-$44 depending on where you shop (you can buy one at a discount at places like but will pay higher prices at your local grocery or drug store on this product.
  • Use on hardwood or tile floors
  • Rotating vacuum allows you to reach in tight corners and under small spaces
  • Easy to empty plastic filter
  • Required Swiffer dry clothes offered separately (Swiffer starter kits included both the Swiffer Vac and the dry cloths)
