The Ballerina Rose
The Ballerina Rose
Ballerina
The Ballerina rose offers durability as well as beauty.
A lovely shrub rose with small pink and white flowers. Chock full of long blooming lightly fragrant flowers.
She is a beautiful old hybrid musk rose with lovely blooms of pink that is edged in white.
As her name suggest, she will remind you of a dancing ballerina, in the spotlight of your garden for all to see, with her tutu spread wide as she graces the beautiful shrub.
Her delicate cluster of flowers, remind me of hydrangeas when in full bloom and of apple blossoms as her blooms begin to fade.
The Ballerina will most likely be the last rose blooming in the garden as fall rolls around.
A modern shrub rose with the characteristics of a wild rose. She was introduced by Bentall in 1937.
The Ballerina rose is easy to maintain, making her a favorite in any garden and is often used in cottage style gardens as well as public parks.

Comments
This rose looks a lot like the knock-out rose bush. It is so beautiful as all the roses you have selected to highlight in your writings. Another beauty for sure.

I had a Ballerina rose at my old house. What a lovely rose. And I love your photos. Great hub! Voted up and shared.
I have 3 of these against a fence in full, hot, 14 hours-a-day sun and they grow like lightning greased weeds! Unfortunately, they also fade to white within a day in that much sun. I ended up digging them out and giving them to my neighbor who has a shadier place to keep them lovely and pink. A note on the hips: they're tiny! Around the size of a pencil eraser. If you want great hip roses, try Rosa Rugosa (sea roses). Loads and loads of tasty, large hips. :)
I have never heard of this variety of rose before. I agree with moonlake: this looks a lot like the wild roses in my garden, except mine are all white.
That is such a pretty rose. It looks a lot like our wild roses. Voted up and pinned.
So sweet and, as you say, so perfect for a cottage garden. Just lovely.
Such a beautiful rose! The flowers look like they are made of china! I can't wait to order one of these! Thanks for teaching me something new today!
