A Review of The Three Best Free Interior Design Software Tools On The Internet
What is The Best Interior Design Software Out There?
If you are looking to improve your home on the inside and you are looking for some great software to help you, this guide is sure going to help you! The author of this guide has tried and tested the most compelling interior design tools and software on the internet, and has reviewed each one.
When designing a room from scratch, it is hard to imagine everything in your head so that is why interior design software is made. Some offer 3D imagery and are interactive whilst others can be disappointing. Here are the top seven interior design pieces of software that can be found on the internet.
Try it and give your verdict! Comments based on this software below will be added onto this piece!
1. Autodesk Homestyler
The first one I tried was Autodesk Hometsyler and I was impressed upon entry of the website. The website was sleek, stylish and very polished.
This software is completely free and you don't have to sign up for anything and no downloads either, it's all on their website. So, I decided to design a room for myself. Within a matter of seconds, the application comes onto the screen and I am prompted to select the shape of my room. After that, it is possible to add anything you want, the choice is endless. From sofas to desks to coffee tables to custom lighting, the list goes on and what a great interface this has. The interface is modern and swift, within a matter of a few minutes, you could have a full room designed.
The great thing about this Autodesk software is that whether you are an interior designer or not, you can still create great rooms. This software supports all kinds of rooms from living rooms to kitchens to offices to bedrooms. You can add a full variety of 'non-furniture' including windows, doors and stairs.
It took me quite a while to actually find the furniture, the menu could be designed a bit better and also, if you have a slow broadband connection, this will take a long time to load. As well as their own furniture designs, you can also select from many top designers and brands including Marvin, Duratherm and another fifty others. Over two thousand shades and colours of paint can be selected and hundreds of tiles can be selected also.
When you have your room designed, you can view it in all its glory in 3D plus a 3D 360 panorama at the end. The panorama looks so lifelike and is bound to help many architects, interior designers, home owners, hoteliers and shop owners in the future.
I'll be adding my fully designed room in the next couple of days with the 360 degree panorama!
Extras: Not only can you design your own room, but you can get extra tips from expert and professional interior designers such as choosing correct colours for your room and what furnishings go well with kitchens, living rooms etc. If you haven't seen their designs, you have got to see them. I don't want to go overboard on this, but some of their designs are out of this world and I think I will be taking some inspirations from their designs in the future. If I had the rights, I would reprint some of their designs here, with attribution of course but it doesn't say on their website whether you can copy their designs. From beautiful, modern living bedrooms to cool, sleek New York apartments, this site's covered it all.

What room in your house would you like to redesign?
Perhaps not as well known as the Homestyler software, this innovative website offers a free demo without signing up and is also free if you sign up. It appears this website is still in Alpha and its 3D view is still in Beta but the site as a whole is still great. This site offers precision and accuracy down to the nearest centimetre from wall thichkness to wall length or width.
It is easy to apply furnishings from tables or chairs, but the selection isn't as plentiful as the Homestyler software above. If you sign up with them, which is free, you can make as many designs as you want. This is good software enough and I am looking forward to seeing it panning out in the future.

If you are an architect or builder, you will need to design floors with 100% accuracy. That's why SmartDraw was invented and with over 20 million downloads, it is highly popular. You have to download it to use it but it is free and you aren't limited to floor plans. You can create flow charts, calendars, certificates, maps, strategy designs, marketing chains and so much more. It transforms your design into a Word or PowerPoint document.
Creating a floor plan or landscape garden is easy and is precise and accurate with measurements included. Another great feature is that the software package has available templates for you to use, or if you need some ideas. I found this software great, and it is useful for making other diagrams too. I would definitely recommend this.
