The A B C's of Restful Sleep

Arthritis, Back Pain, and finally Comfort, that sums up my life for the past eight years. Over these years, I have tried to sleep on more than a dozen mattresses. A couple of those mattresses I purchased, while the rest of the them were at relatives homes or at good hotels. Whether I was on vacation or at home, I always ended up out on the couch. The pain in my back flared up shortly after I fell asleep and the longer I tried to ignore it, the more it intensified. Up until I received my iKrema MaxComfortPedic mattress, that is. Since the day I pulled it out of the box, I sleep much more soundly. When I wake up, I feel refreshed. I feel wonderful. I no longer feel the pain that previously rendered me useless for at least fifteen minutes but often much longer, after I awoke. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

iKrema verses Amazon Prices

I found out about iKrema Mattresses while watching NBC's Today Show after a restless night of sleep. They featured the mattress. After the rough night I had trying to sleep, any mattress would have looked good to me. I really couldn't afford to pay a thousand dollars for a mattress; but, lucky for me, iKrema was offering all their mattresses at half-price during this Today Show promo period. therefore, I was able to order mine over the internet and put in the Today Shows code. I bought my twin size, 11 inch MaxComfortPedic for $450.00. That promo has since ended.

The retail price for iKrema's 10" SuperPedic starts at $450.00 for the twin size. The price goes up to $925.00 for a king or California king size. The online order form was easy to complete and it didn't take much time.

Amazon, also, sells iKrema mattresses. You might be able to get a better deal through them.

Heaven in a Box

My Qualms Before The Purchase

When I caught the clip about the mattress on the Today Show, I had missed most of it. As a result, I wasn't sure what the specifications were. It looked good and I felt sore so I decided to give it a try. After pulling up iKrema's website, I noticed that this mattress would come to me in a box. I watched their online video of it but it was still hard to get an idea of what it would feel like. That worried me. How could a mattress that comes in a box provide any comfort? Those thoughts went through my head; but, what I saw of it on the Today Show looked good and it looked comfortable. When the FedEx guy brought it, I thought, "Oh my God, I hope it's not full with air." It wasn't long before I was totally relieved. My other concern was that I never had a memory foam mattress and I wasn't sure if it would give me the support I need to help my back. However, after sleeping on it, I knew it was the best thing for my back.

The Density and Weight

iKrema sends a paper cutter with the mattress so you don't risk cutting into it when you cut away the plastic it's wrapped in. After I removed all the plastic and packing materials, it popped right into shape with no sign that it could have ever been stuffed in a box. It felt pretty good to lay on right away; however, the foam reaches it's full capacity after around 24 hours. It felt so dense that I thought I would have a hard time getting it up onto my daybed frame. I was wrong. It was easy to lift and move around. I didn't even hurt my back lifting it.

A Close Up of The Foam

The Specifications and How They Relate to Me

According to iKrema's website, the mattress has Cooling Comfort Cool Memory Tex Foam with bounceness and active air circulation. What this translates to for me is that I don't wake up in a sweat. My body temperature stays at a normal level. I don't toss and turn because the memory tex foam gives way when I adjust my position and it hugs my body. It gives me a perfect combination of soft yet firm comfort. I also feel like I can breathe easier as it is allergy free. It is also fire retardant and non-toxic. I love it and I doubt I'll ever purchase anything else.

Thanks Randi, it has made a world of difference for me. I'm sorry you have to go through this back pain too. Don't forget to check Amazon's prices when it's time for you to purchase. I always check the manufacturer's website first, then I check every other store I can think to price for shipping and other charges as well because sometimes they differ. Have a great day.

Thank you for this information. About 3 years ago, I purchased a daybed and a memory foam mattress. I was sick and tired of restless nights. The mattress I purchased isn't a high quality but it is much better than the Sealy posturpedic that I had prior. It doesnt have as many features as yours but as switched me to a memory foam "believer" I will definitely check out ikrema for my next one! Thank you!

It always amazes me that some people live pain-free. As unnatural as it feels, it also feels like such a natural part of life to me. I'm happy for you. I hate to think of anybody having to live with this pain.

I've been pretty lucky with my aches or pains, certainly not from a mattress. Taking a look at those prices, I am very grateful that I am healthy and feeling good. I don't know if I could afford a pain-free night. LOL
