Some of the Best Steak Knives set for nice dinners and all around use.

Updated on June 29, 2015

What type of Steak Knife do I need?

The best steak knives rely mainly on three things. Price, sharpness, and design. Sharpness is pretty much a given now-a-days as long as you know who you are buying from. If you are shopping for the right brands-- the more you spend, the better the blade, and hopefully the longer it will last you. However the main thing you need to know is what you are using them for. Are they supposed to look nice, do the job well, or just look presentable. Are you on a really tight budget?

Taking the time to check out the reviews of the knives you are getting is key. Be sure to check customer reviews before buying anything. They can be found on forums, blogs, and Amazon, don't be scared the internet is your friend.

Some of the best steak knives are the ones that cost the least, but last more than long enough. It is okay to get replacements every so often. In college having cheap, good knives was very important. You obviously don't want to bring an expensive knife set to college for risk of getting it stolen or lost. Many things could happen at college, who knows! Most people are looking for steak knives that look nice and have a sleek design.

Where to buy steak knives?

There are several places to get knives. Ebay, Amazon, Sears, JC Penney, or directly on the brand's site. Depending on what you are looking for-- there are plenty of options of how to order them. If you want to go out and buy a set that doesn't mean you can't use Amazon to do some more research. There are plenty of great reviews on Amazon that can give you an idea if the set of knives is right for you.

If you are looking for the best deals for steak knives, or anything really.. Then hands down you need to check Ebay. It is the world's biggest garage sale and quite honestly has some of the best deals you will ever see. People sell whole kitchen sets in bulk, which may also include a very nice knife set. This is rare, but more than possible.

No matter what price range you are looking for Amazon usually has you covered. There are plenty of styles and brands to choose from. Here are a couple of the favorites. Good luck and I hope you find the best steak knife set for you!

Or you can wait for a door to door salesman from Cutco like what happened to the poor chap in the meme. Apparently the sister gave her the 50 minute presentation as well. Oof!

Wustoff knives

As I said--if you want some great knives then look no further than Amazon. This Wustoff Steak Knife set is one of the many nice sets Amazon has to offer. There are plenty of reviews and other useful information available. Be sure to check around and see if the prices differ at different sites. You may get a better deal off of Amazon, but you will still get a great price. Another great resource would be Cutleryandmore.com. You can order from there or compare the price to Amazon and other place to find the best deal.

Shun Ken Steak knife set

This Shun Ken Steak knife set are some of my favorite knives. These almost look like a ninja should have them. Their design and quality are why they are the most pricey, but it is also why they are some of the best steak knives. If you want to splurge a little, maybe you should go ahead and try these ones out. If you like how they look, you will like how they cut even better. Another top pick of mine. Check out the specs inside.

Mundial Future Steak Knife Set

Here are some great looking and inexpensive steak knives. These are some of my favorite steak knives as my uncle has them. And boy do I like these ones. These are the best steak knives for their price in my opinion. I am sure there are some other great ones out there, but I can say that I have seen these in action and they do everything I ask of them.

Cheap Steak Knife set

Here is a cheap steak knife set. They are very affordable and are great for any kitchen. They will cut through any meat that you want to eat, and it cuts it clean and fast. If you aren't about elegance and design and want some knives that should last quite a while, these are not a bad buy at all. Take a good look at these ones on Amazon.

  • 5 star steak knife set!

Gourmet steak knife set

Here is the Zwelling J.J Henckels Twin Gourmet Steak knife set. It is a very great det for the price. Expect them to cut through nearly anything and to perform as a knife of it's price should. Although it does not compare the the elegance and design of the above knives, they still are one of the best steak knives out there. For this price you can't beat it, not to mention you know what you are getting, because there are plenty of reviews on it.
  • Many great ratings
  • 4 1/2 stars!

Buying knives on Ebay.

If you are thrifty and low on funds and want the best prices then you can try craigslist or networking(asking people you know).

Other than that when people can't/don't feel like selling stuff to their friends- they usually use Ebay. Depending on what you are looking for you can get great deals on anything. Steak knives are no exception. You can get used ones for great prices or you can even buy them new from a person who never used them rather than a retail store.

You will find some of the best deals on Ebay bar-none. If there is a certain steak set you want you my want to consider adding it to your Google Alerts to let yourself know when new ones come into auction. You must also remember that the best deals on Ebay go the quickest, but that is a whole new ball game.
