Winter Candles

Winter is fast approaching and Yankee Candle already has the winter candles in stock. Every year, Yankee Candle starts stocking the shelves with new holiday scents and returning winter favorites. Many people visit Yankee Candle each year during the holiday season as a tradition. Let's face it, candles are great gifts. Furthermore, Yankee Candle always has the best variety of candles and accessories. For the past few years, they've even carried scented calendars and lip balm at the store. What a perfect place for holiday shopping!

Yankee Candle is known for carrying cute Christmas accessories, like candle holders with reindeer, or tart burners with gingerbread men. In October, the store is a wonderful combo of fall and winter scents. You can see your favorite Halloween accessories, but you'll notice the Thanksgiving and Christmas themed items starting to sneak their way in. In November, the entire store will transform into a winter wonderland. The best holiday gift sets and baskets will be in the store.

An important thing to remember every year when Christmas shopping at Yankee Candle are the coupons. Yankee Candle is extremely generous when it comes to emailing coupons. All you have to do is ask! Yankee Candle's website has an Email Sign-up link at the top of the page. In no time, you will start receiving your email coupons. They usually send coupons at least once a month and it only takes seconds to sign-up. It is a great deal, especially if you know you will be shopping in the store this holiday season.

Returning Favorites

Frequent Yankee Candle shoppers usually have their very own favorite holiday candle. I am no exception to that rule. My favorite holiday Yankee Candle scent has to be the Red Apple Wreath. It is a sweet, apple-scented candle. Also, it is a bright red color, so it is very festive for Christmas. Sometimes when burning the candle, you can actually smell it as far as the other end of the hallway on my floor in my apartment building. Since it is such a pleasant odor, everyone always seems happy about that. However, if you want a milder scent, for that reason, the Red Apple Wreath might not be for you.

The three most popular Christmas scents are Christmas Cookie, Sparkling Cinnamon, and Balsam & Cedar. Each year, shoppers rush to get those favorites. It seems as if these scents always sell out the fastest, especially the Christmas Cookie scent. If you would like a milder scented candle and you enjoy a sweet baking smell, the Christmas Cookie candle is definitely for you. If you are interested in a pine scent, your best pick is the Balsam & Cedar. I find the Sparkling Cinnamon gives a fresh smell, but it can be a little strong.

New Holiday Scents for 2011

Yankee Candle has five new scents for this holiday season: Be Jolly, Deck the Halls, Mountain Berry, Christmas Rose, and Cherries On Snow. So far, I like the Cherries On Snow the best, but it is very similar to the Black Cherry scent. Since I was unable to perform a "sniff test" on both, I have to assume it is a little different. The graphics on the jar are also beautiful with the cherries sitting in the snow. It gives a nice winter feel, and since it smells so nice, I would highly recommend this candle for Christmas this year.

Yankee Candle is sure to offer its customers a wide variety of holiday items for 2011. The holiday scents are wonderful and the candle accessories are great. Whether you decide to shop early or run in for the last minute Christmas deals, make sure to drop by Yankee Candle this holiday season. It really puts you in a festive mood and there is something for everyone.

Thank you for the comment. I like Christmas Cookie, too, but I wish it was stronger. I don't think other stores accept the Yankee Candle coupons. What a bummer that you don't have the stores in Ireland.

I am glad you enjoyed the hub! Thanks for dropping by.

Christmas Cookie has to be my favourite scent, no matter what time of year it is. I usually buy a ton at Christmas so I can have it for as long as possible. Christmas Eve is really nice, too.

About the coupons, there are no Yankee Candle stores anywhere within my area. I don't even know if they've made it to Ireland yet.

Do you know if they accept the email coupons in stores that stock the candles, like Hallmark?

I really enjoyed this hub. Keep up the excellent work. I'll be looking forward to more of your work in future.

I love Yankee Candle - I have "Harvest" (the wax tart) in the house right now. It is nice to have a warm candle glowing when it is so blustery and cold outside!
