The chicks got into some of grandpa's wine in the refrigerator , and took sips. All three had tummy aches. The Red Cross nurse could smell liquor on their breaths. The little yellow bird told the triplets not to sip on grandpa's wine beverages because they are not old enough to be drinking alcohol.
Daisy asked her mama why was it O.K. for grandpa to get stoned and to crash by the barbeque grill . Little yellow bird told Daisy that grandpa is elderly and does foolish things once in a while.
Grandpa found out about the chicks and the wine so he moved his strawbrerry wine into his bedroom so that if he ever needed a sip of his brew he could do so without the chicks getting into any of it.
Tulip asked her grandpa why does he sip strawberry wine. Grandpa told her that it has a delicious flavor that only adults are meant to enjoy. "Your not supposed to drink alcohol little girl ."
Grandma enjoys crocheting small blankets and things. She has something to do in the mansion to keep herself occupied. She also likes to paint pictures of natural scenic areas with pastels.
Once in a while grandpa likes to cook. He likes to create stir fries for the family. The chicks like the taste of peas and corn fresh from the gardens , or from cans. They like grandpa's home made pizza. Grandpa takes a hold loaf of french bread , and slices it length ways , and brushes spaghetti sauce on the bread. He sprinkles the bread with cheese, sausage , chopped peppers, bits of onion ,and even with shrimp, and heats it all up. It tastes fairly good.
Grandpa likes to eat a large glass of cooked rice. He pours milk in the glass on his rice, and adds sugar. It is O.K. The chicks tried it. They said it was good if your starving to death.
The little yellow bird took some time for herself ,and flew all the way to the old house trailer where the old man, Becky, and his wife Joann live in Louisiana.
She perched on a tree limb, and the old man saw her from the window. Little Tiger the house cat moved her lips to mumble some things to the little yellow bird.
The old man walked outside to speak to the little bird. He asked her if everything was O.K. The little bird said she missed her old home a little.
The old man asked her if she was happy, and she said she was.
The old man told her that he and his family are happy that she is happy. The little yellow bird landed on his shoulder for a brief moment , and gave the old man a little hug.
The little yellow bird did not stay long. She flew back to her mansion where the triplets were all waiting for their mama to come back.
Little Daisy jumped on her mama's lap and told her that she just had to burst out and cry along with her sisters because she worried about her mama being gone.
The little yellow bird wiped tears from Daisy's eyes and said, " If I ever leave again I promise I want be gone so long. "
The Little Yellow Bird had flown all the way back to Louisiana, and was gone for nearly six hours. The Red Cross nurse knew about the trip, and so did grandma and grandpa, but she did not tell the chicks about it.
The chicks had a talk with their mother. They had a heart to heart talk with her. Rosy spoke for th other two. She said, " Mama ! If you have to go somewhere next time, we would really appreciate it if you would have the courtesy to let us know about it. We may be little, but we need to know what you are doing too."
The Little Yellow Bird agreed that Rosy and the chicks were right. She apologized to them , and told them that would never happen again, and that she would let them know about stuff as well.
God Bless Everyone
