When you are planning the spring cleaning don’t forget to choose carefully cleaning tools and cleaning products, you are going to use. You don’t need expensive and fancy chemical products and tools to make your home shinier. Of course they will achieve a good effect, but you could make it without them, too. Here is a list of some basic tools and products you must have when you are cleaning your house and want to do it the eco-friendly way.

Vinegar

The vinegar is one of the most used products when it comes to green cleaning. You could remove musty stains, bad odors, carpet stains, cleaning the fridge, etc.

Baking soda

The baking soda is the other product after the vinegar, that you could use like stain and mold remover. Also you could remove carpet stains and clean the oven with it. In the bathroom you could scrub the sink and the bathtub without being worried you are going to harm their surfaces.

Olive oil

With the olive oil you could polish woodwork, stainless steel appliances and wooden furniture. It will give them really shiny effect.

Newspapers

The newspapers are really helpful when it comes to cleaning the windows. Use them and make circle moves to remove the stains from the water left on the window. With newspapers you could absorb liquids.

Old toothbrushes

The old toothbrushes are my favorite cleaning tool. They could help you to clean carpet stains or upholstered furniture stains. Also you could use them to remove hard stick food parts in the oven or in the fridge. The toothbrush is little and not so appropriate for large areas, but it could help you to clean inaccessible places.

Sponge

The sponge is necessary in every home cleaning. You need it to cleaning stains, scrubbing the bathroom and kitchen parts.

Liquid soap

This is the less toxic product that you could use in your home. It is strong but in the same time cannot harm the delicate surfaces. You could use it also to remove carpet stains or upholstered furniture stains.

Plastic gloves

Even you use green ways to clean your house, I recommend you to use plastic gloves, because every substance could be harmful for your skin, if it is in excessive quantities. And if you decide to use strong chemical substances you have to use a face mask, too. This is because of the toxic fumes that could be formed.

Dusters

You will need many dusters to dry off everything you clean. You could use special duster to remove the dust. After that don’t forget to wash them or leave them if they have been used too many times.
