Unique Toilet Seats - Where to Find Decorative Toilet Seat Designs

Updated on July 1, 2013

Easy, Low Cost Additions To Your Toilet Seat

One of the things we like to do with our bathroom designs is to make a tasteful yet personal statement with the décor of the bathroom. But for most of us we would like to do that without spending a lot of money on the design. One dramatic visual impact that can be made it to simply add a unique toilet seat. For just a few dollars you can come up with a unique seat design, or you can choose an applique that will add a personal touch for even less cost, thus changing the appearance of your bathroom.

Acrylic Seats

Acrylic toilet seats have all sorts of possible themes. Usually these will have some artifacts embedded in them. This might include seahorses, seashells, or butterflies. Often the seat is an opaque white material, but you can also often find some that are a translucent blue that's gives the impression of a body of water.

Ginsey Toilet Seats

Trimmer Brand Seats

Many of these are made from a polyresin material that will stand up to normal use for years. Many of these have a marbelized finish, but a few have some decorations embedded in them as well. There is even one with a money theme that looks like it has gold and money inside the lid. Flowered toilet seats are always a popular bathroom decoration as well. Another popular brand for decorative seats is Ginsey.

Toilet Tattoos

Seriously, a tattoo for the toilet? Add a truly unique touch with these decorative appliqués or tattoos for your existing toilet seat. One popular brand of appliques is the Toilet Tattoo. These are simple decorations that come in a surprising range of themes. They attach to an existing seat with a static cling film, so there is no permanent damage to the seat. These will generally work better on a simple wooden or plastic seat, cushioned seats will not hold the decorative film very well, so it's best not to try with those.

These are relatively inexpensive and won't last as long as a regular seat, but they are also easy to change and the plus with that is you can refresh the look on a regular basis.

A fellow Texan with an interest in unique toilet seats! LOL Love the Hub. I think the toilet tattoos are amazing too but there are some really fancy (and expensive) toilet seats out there. It's unreal. Rated you up!

Toilet Tattoos are a really fun way to customize the design on your toilet seat. Great for a kid's bathroom.
