Easy And Affordable Window Curtains

Do you have a window that is undressed; and you can’t think of an easy and affordable way to solve it in a day?

Let’s try a children’s room window that looks like this >>>>>>>>

Well here I will show you how.........

Purchase Single Sheets in (Twin, full, queen, king) how ever long you may need.

Wal-Mart, Target, k-mart these are great places to find great colors in design.

The sheets already have a rod pocket.

You will need:

Rod (regular/deep pocket)

Sheet (Flat)

Scissors

Hammer

Screwdriver

On the back side of seam pockets take your scissors and cut a slit for the rod.

Measure and place your rod holders up as high as needed.

Place your sheet on the rod and hang.

Now you have this >>>>>>>>>

Place the colors the way you like it.

You can also stitch the rod pocket smaller if you like (but it is not necessary)

Dress it up with sheers in other rooms.

You can also use a fitted sheet for a topper because it has the elastic in it.

Purchase the same color to dress the bed.( Thats another day! )

I did a curtain project a few months ago using king size sheets for a fuller window treatment (loved the ready-made pockets). I split them down the middle and used the zig-zag to stitch the raw edges. I hung the rods high above the windows to created a 'longer' window look and allowed the rest to pool on the floor for a romantic look. For some, I cut a few inches off the bottom and used those as tie-backs (but I love your idea of using hair bands). I bought the sheets at a second-hand store and did think about buying the fitted sheets to make matching cushions. However, I do like your idea of using as a topper. I'll be buying hair bands soon. Thank you for sharing...
