Wine Themed Décor For Kitchens
Changing kitchen décor
Changing the look of my kitchen or any other room in our apartment is a must for me. Being that we do live in an apartment we are limited as to what we can do to make the place look different. We can't paint the walls, change the carpeting or do any type of remodeling. There isn't even that much space to really rearrange the furniture for a completely different look.
I for one like change.I get bored looking at the same things for months on end. Every six months or so I go on a decorating binge, changing the look in every room. I enjoy wine, chocolate and coffee so these are the themes I usually go with when it is time to change the theme décor in the kitchen.
I also like a very contemporary look at times, a cleaner uncluttered feel. I am not a fan of the country or flowery theme. Pastel colors are definitely out! I like darker colors, preferably black, burgundy and gray.
Wine themed wall art
There is an abundance of wine themed wall art. I had a hard time deciding what pieces I wanted to purchase, considering the kitchen in our apartment is not very large I didn't want to go overboard even though I could have.
It amazes me as to how much creativity is out there when it comes to different themes for design. If I had a huge kitchen I probably could have done some serious damage!
You can select wall art made from metal, some of which is really beautiful and colorful. Framed canvas art is always a winner, interesting Giclee prints, wall hangings which can be made from lightweight material or a heavier tapestry, and ceramic plaques.
All these items come in various sizes, to fit the needs based on the size of your kitchen. If you own a home and have a large kitchen, bigger pieces of colorful art can be purchased and make the kitchen really stand out.
Depending on what style you prefer, the choices are there from old style to fun and contemporary.
Clocks, dishwasher covers, rug sets and everything else
Along with a new wall clock that can also change the look of your kitchen, there are switchplates, wine racks that are either the freestanding or wall hanging type.
Cork holders for those of us that collect corks. I don't know why I save them but I do. Now I have a new item to keep some of them in.
There are also kitchen towels, place mats, tablecloths, table runners, coasters, curtains, small area rugs, dishwasher covers and if you have your own home wallpaper borders that can be placed on the walls in your kitchen.
Living in an apartment does have its limitations with decorating, but with a little creativity and ideas found online and elsewhere changes can be made that do not have to be very costly. I will keep the wine theme for a few months and then move on to something else.
