Are you Photo Savvy? Print and Display your Favorite Photos
Share your photos on your wall
Using sample photos from our computer or photos from our favorite vacations is an easy way to dress up our desktop and laptop screens, yes, the photos are endless. But how about your picture files holding photos you have taken yourself. Too often than not, we take photos that never make it off of our camera or cell ohone. We use them as our screen savers on our desktop, laptop or phone, but it is time to print and display these photos.
And what about that empty wall in your home. Why not accent it with beautiful scenic photographs from your most memorable travels or vacations. All those photos taken by you, an expression of YOU. Random photos that you take yourself are the best kind of photos to compliment our homes when choosing pictures to frame or display. Chances are that all of your photos are sitting on your computer ready to be used for all or any of these display options.
Take lots of pictures
I just love to take pictures, don't you? Cameras have come a long way since I was a child with my 110 kodak camera and my case filled with film. Picture taking couldn’t be any easier these days, with all the technology and ways we are able take pictures to capture those special moments. Whether you are using your camera phone or favorite a 35 mm, photographs are a great way to express yourself and decorate your home.
I can take beautiful pictures with my digital camera or the camera in my phone with the greatest of ease. The best thing about using these cameras is that I can snap a picture at any moment and capture some of the most beautiful pictures ever.
Mix it Up
I know many people use family photos, I have family photos everywhere, which is great, of course, that goes without saying, but remember those pictures you took at the beach or that rainbow you saw on your way to work. Maybe you have a vegetable or flower garden with that prize zucchini or that perfect tulip. These pictures are great for computer wallpaper or screensaver. Not only to display on a screen, but to create a collage or wall filled with pictures taken by you.
You can photograph people, pets, vacations sites, buildings, flowers or vegetables, the ideas are endless. Anything is possible, just so long as it reflects you. It is really fun and will be rewarding when you sit down at your computer or admire the finished gallery on your wall.
And how many vacations have you taken and not just taken pictures of your family, but the sights as well. Now you can create collages for scenes from any trip and make an entire wall in your home memories of your travels.
This summer I headed down to the Jersey shore and took this breathtaking photo of the ocean. It will always make me smile as I think about the great memories of the day it was taken.
On a beautiful spring day, I was just sitting outside on my front stoop. I could not believe how blue the sky was that day. This is one of my favorite wallpapers for my desktop computer.
A weekend getaway would bring me to an old time area with a lake right in the middle of town, furnished with unique bridges that crossed from one side of the neighborhood to the other.
A Single Rose
I just love yellow roses and this one is in my own garden. I thought it would make a great photo for my wall all by itself or an addition to my cell phone wallpaper.
Ferris Wheel before Hurricane Sandy
Who doesn't love a Ferris Wheel. This one is down at the New Jersey shore. It's size is magnificent and with a beautiful day behind it, Taken before Hurricane Sandy, I just knew that this would be a picturesque memory.
An Iconic Bridge
The Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge is a magnificent double decked suspension bridge. I traveled over this bridge many times by car, but I took this photo one day as I was traveling under it by ship, leaving a New York City port one summer. This is one of my favorite photos.
I change my cell phone wallpaper almost as much as I take pictures. From the ocean to my favorite sky view, it is like having a new phone everyday.
Make a Collage
This wall hanging that I have created features some of the pictures i have shared, and show an outdoor theme. I had accumulated photos over the years of favorite places and moments and was able to display them in this collage on a wall in my home.
Combine your Favorites
I decided that to make a wall photo picture and use the outdoor sky and beach photos. I think these four photos go really well together and accent eachother.
I am the Photographer
Each one of these photos are photographed by myself, and each one reminds me of a time in my life. Now they are either wallpaper for my phone, display pictures for my computer, as well as cherished memories in frames on my walls.
So if you don't know what to do with all those photos or on your phone or computer, print them yourself or bring them to a local photo shop and get them ready to display. Look through photos that you have taken yourself and display your memories taken by you and create your own personal gallery. © 2012
