Asbestos Controlled Demolition Rochester NY

When we began performing asbestos controlled demolition in Rochester, NY my first reaction was that this was a great way of removing asbestos contaminated houses in Rochester, NY and obviously; we were getting paid to remove these homes. After a few dozen structures removed, I had a neighbor come up to our crew and she started thanking us over and over again. The thankful citizen stated, "I have been trying to sell my home for the past 2 years, this zombie house has been boarded up and next door the entire time, everyone comes to look at my house and just leaves after they see the abandoned house next door."

It made me think, these demolitions in Rochester, NY were really part of helping the community real estate market values. So, in the case of this thankful citizen, she was finally getting the gift of what she hoped for over the past 2 years, but at whose expense?

This brings me to the point of who is paying for these demolitions? The banks effectively try to resell the abandoned property, but with limited budgets and market value that often never comes to reality. Ultimately, it comes back to you, the taxpayer. So I think everyone agrees: IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN YOUR PROPERTY VALUES, THESE HOUSES NEED TO GO. But the question is how long should they sit? Some say right away, some say never?
