The Beauty of the Autumn Season

Every year I look forward to fall for so many reasons. The supermarket shelves are spilling over with brightly colored pumpkin and chestnuts along with huge juicy grapes and sweet persimmons. The trees outside show off their dazzling array of colors in yellow, orange and red hues. All these things combine to create an air of warmth and coziness that only fall can bring.

Celebrating Fall At Home

Maybe it's my age or perhaps no one trick or treats here in the city. Unless I make a conscious effort, Halloween ends up blending in with the rest of the fall season. I enjoy making the most of each season and fall gives me the opportunity to dress up my home to reflect that.

I must confess that I'm not the most talented when it comes decorating my home. I also don't care for clutter and like things simple so I tend to look for items that could stand on their own without too much effort on my part. I always have a box of votive candles in my closet for emergencies so its not surprising that these votive holders are some of my favorite fall home accessories.

Autumn Harvest Candle Holders

I personally own a few sets of these beauties and they make it easy to add some autumn touches to my home. They work especially well as a simple yet beautiful decoration item at the entrance of my home. I also love how they can instantly add drama to a buffet table. Not only are they beautiful and well crafted but they add a rustic yet sophisticated charm to practically any room in the house. The best thing of all is that I'm able to incorporate them into my Halloween decor and keep them up for the entire fall season.

Quick Question

Do you decorate for the fall season?

Perfect For Nooks and Crannies

This is my candle holder at the entrance of my apartment. This counter stands right above my shoe closet and it greets visitors as soon as you enter my apartment. As you can see, the display is simple and it requires almost nothing else in a small space like mine.

I've placed a couple of orange candles in the front but I don't think it really needs them. For Halloween, I plan to add some pumpkins in various sizes to add a festive atmosphere.

Candles are a simple way to add a touch of autumn in your home and this one is a good one. I like how this one makes my home smell like pumpkin pie. It's also quite long-lasting, providing about 150 hours of burning time.

Do you decorate your home to reflect the seasons? What are some of your favorite decorating ideas? Please feel free to leave your comments.

Yes, I do like metal natural sculptures for indoor decor, particularly attracted to leaves.

@Susan Zutautas: That sounds lovely Susan. I think this year I might go around collecting red and orange leaves and use them to further decorate my home.

Love this candle holder. I have a big wrap around porch on my house and every season I like to decorate a corner of it with seasonal flowers.
