A Look At Amish Log Furniture

Updated on September 9, 2010

The Amish furniture is many people’s choice because of its look and exquisite craftsmanship. Amish log furniture gives your home a comfortable feeling of durability and warmth and it is built to last a lifetime.

If you are looking for a large kitchen table, an Amish one is the right choice, as they are built for large families. However, they do come in smaller dimensions, too. Accompanying the log table are the log chairs but maybe you prefer the half log benches. The way they make it, is they cut in two the pine log and they attach the legs. The result is a solid bench perfectly suited for the table in your dining room or outside on your deck.

We haven’t finished with the kitchen furniture, yet. If you want to match the rustic look of the log table, you can go for log barstools. You can find different types of barstools: with a back, swivel barstools or even both.

For the family area in the living room, you can choose a log daybed, adding a warm atmosphere to the house. When guests are coming, you can just lift the pop up trundle and you get a huge bed. Some accessories may come with that, such as log lamps, for more of a rustic look.

Bedroom Log Furniture

However, the real masterpieces of the Amish furniture can be found in the bedroom. The beds are the piece de resistance, well built, robust, so they can face even the most restless kids. The beds come in different sizes: twin, full, king, queen and bunkbeds.

After having chosen the bed, you may want to get a dresser to match. The lowest is the six drawer and the widest measures 60 inches. The dressers have a depth of 20 inches and they are all equipped with easy rolling, heavy duty sliders for the drawers.

To complete the ensemble, you need a log armoire as wardrobe or just for extra storing space. To give a more rustic feeling for your bedroom, you can add the log night stands with just a shelf or a drawer.

There is also rustic log furniture for your office. Computer desks, pine desks, log file cabinets, pine bookcase…you name it. On the floor you can put some handmade rugs and we made yourself a cozy working space.

For those of you having children there are kids rocking chairs, small tables and small coat rack, all in a rustic style.

There is even furniture for your patio: chairs, deck benches, deck glider, all, of course, log made and rustic.
