There are many types of aloe, some that flower, and all the aloe are unique. Bright light suits all aloes, those with spiny leaves usually do well in full sunlight, but the softer leaved kinds do best if the light is filtered through a translucent blind or curtain. No aloe will do real well if permanently placed at a distance from a window. They like normal room temperature and will tolerate dry air. A young growing aloe needs the soil to be moist, but during the winter rest period, let the soil dry out between waterings. Only give food during growth period about every two weeks.
