Hi, that is pretty an interesting post. Mind I share my 2 cents worth?
I personally felt that this is the most appropriate time to embrace disasters together with your family, a form of reunion that may change your lifestyle forever. This is the only opportunity to communicate, using feelings & sense of hearing, ignoring blinded eyes which lead us to man disasters.
I do have a friend who wanted to cherish her family after tornado destruction but a pity, too late to turn things round. She often ignored her family members as she thought being non-sociable is the key to attention seeking. However during the disaster, her father grabbed her and hug till the building covers them up, leaving her unharm yet leaving her father motionless.
As you can see, electronics may have dominated the world, but ultimately, it is your family that treasures you and not their devices. Some tihings done cannot be undone thus do cherish you family members, be it disasters or not, and live life to fullest not lifeless!
All the best to you,
