Which vegetable in your garden had the most stunted growth because of the harsh climate?
Tomatoes, its been such a cold and wet spring and summer.
My cucumbers are pathetic this year, the tomatoes and chili peppers are thriving! I am using a soil very high in acid (mulched up leaves in my compost) I'm guessing this is retaining water. Also my garden is in a spot that has more shade than you'd expect in a garden with tomatoes... less evaporation?
Well you have a magic touch because most tomatoes do not produce in shady areas.
I think my bananas. They like a damp and sheltered area. I have wind with salt, too harsh of sunlight and too little water. I have moved these all around the grounds. If the next place I move them doesn't work, I may just get rid of them.
I can image that a banana would be difficult to grow. I hope you do not have to get rid of them.
