   How do you get your windows to be free of streaks without newspapers?
   
   Back when I was a child, my family always cleaned the house and car windows with old newspapers in order to avoid streaks.  But in this age of electronics, old newspapers are hard to find in any quantity. Anyone have any tips for a cloth or towel that cleans windows and doesn't leave streaks?  Something that works the way newspapers used to?

   They don't work as well, but I use paper towels.

   I use safe, non-chemical, hand wipes. I have used them on glass practically all over: eyeglasses, mirrors, even PC screens, and more. They dry almost after they touch.

   Using a mixture of white vinegar and water helps to avoid streaking and it's cheaper than window cleaner.
   
   Do you not get the Sunday paper? If not, maybe you can ask your neighbors to recycle their papers to you.
   
   As Sheila says, you can use paper towels. Or an old dish towel.
