   What do you want on your tombstone?  (not the pizza, your actual tombstone)
   
   I don't mean for this to be a morbid question but I think about it sometimes...I just have trouble deciding whether I would like "O death, where is they sting, O grave, where is they victory, you thought you had a hold on me, but you were wrong I've been set free" or just something simple and direct like "Totally & Completely Devoted to Family"....anyone like to share?

   I think something humorous would be nice. I think Spike Milligan the comedian for instance chose "I told you I was sick."

   In theory I think a SH5 reference on my tombstone would be AWESOME and so very 'me'...
   
   But really I'll just have one of those little plaques on a wall somewhere with a tiny picture and date of birth-date of death. I don't need to take up any room in the ground. I want my ashes spread anyway.

      Hi Aime, I agree with you on simplicity....I refuse to have a funeral...and after I'm gone, I guess it doesn't really matter what happens to my outer shell!

   I have contemplated this significantly.  I will request exactly what was printed in a 4th or 5th grade book in our elementary school that we studied in class. It simply stated, Here Lies John Connor.
   I would add a motion-sensor device that will have a recording of my voice with a myriad of sayings/quotes for example,
   (1) "Hey you, ya you, come back don't just walk by like I am dead!"
   (2) "I'll be back!"
   (3) "Don't  come with me if you want to live!"
   (4) "if you step on me I will scream so loud!"
   (5) "The next time you come back bring beer and don't forget a shovel!"

   I once saw a grave stone with a BINGO game card engraved in it because the woman loved going to play BINGO. On my tombstone I think I'd like some kind of saying or symbol that reflects who I was as a person. My husband and I plan to be buried together so maybe we'd have our nicknames for each other or something equally pleasant. I'd like people to look at our gravestone and be able to smile instead of be sad. The BINGO lady is buried near my grandmother and it always makes me feel a bit more lighthearted when I visit the cemetery. I'd like a tombstone for me that did the same for others to take the sadness away from visiting such a place.

   I like the idea of something humorous, something that will make people smile even just a little bit in a place that is so full of sorrow for some. Lots of people talk about "joke" tombstones, but from what I've seen very few people (or rather, the family members of said people!) actually do it.
   
   For mine, I'd like "Don't blink." (A Doctor Who reference)
   
   Or a more serious, but still uplifting imo, quote (also from Doctor Who): "We're all stories in the end."
