How to Display Willow Tree Angels and Figurines

Updated on August 22, 2014

Arranging Willow Tree Angels and Figurines

Over the years I have built up a collection of Willow Tree Angels and Figurines. It all started when I was teaching Playschool. Every spring the board would give me one as a 'thank you' for teaching, and soon friends and family began to join in.

There is something about their featureless faces and simple lines that make them unique. Each one has their own characteristics that make them special, and over time each one develops its own features.

Arranging and displaying my Angels and Figurines became a challenge as the collection began to grow. I discovered they looked well at the top of my kitchen cupboards, in the porch, on the windowsill, in groups, alone, or in pairs. They add a touch of charm and simple elegance wherever they are arranged. In the photo to the left sits my Angel of Hope reminding me that there is always a light shining no matter how dark.

Arranging Willow Tree Figurines - A Tip or Two

Half the fun of arranging and displaying your Angels and Figurines is playing around with them until you find a look that you like. I have a long empty shelf above my kitchen cupboards that I used to keep wicker baskets on. In the center of the shelf I have a clock and on either side of the clock on the wall I have added some star hanging ornaments. Below the stars standing on either side of the clock sits my Angel of Hope and my Angel of Freedom. When it comes to arranging our knick knacks varying the height and size of the items in a group causes the eye to travel and makes a display all the more appealing to the eye.

Angel of Freedom - Flying Free

Freedom gives us the ability to speak, act and think without being fearful or restrained. It is a blessing many of us have and one others struggle for.

A reminder that we have much to be grateful and thankful for.

Layer Items by Size and Depth - Putting A Display Together

Layering items by depth is one way of arranging figurines so they are visually appealing. Staggering the height within these layers adds dimension and fills in an otherwise blank space. Here this Angel stands in front of a star wall plaque whose height is taller and is placed behind. This type of arrangement can be used in bookshelves or anywhere a table is up against a wall.

Angel of Love - Decorating with Love

Love is one of the most powerful emotions in the world. It is an unseen energy that surrounds, protects and nourishes both those who give it and those who receive it. To love and be loved is the most powerful feeling in the world

Display anywhere in your home and feel the protecting, nourishing power of love.

Adding Color - Arranging Figurines

When it comes to arranging and displaying your collection adding a splash of color, other decorative knick knacks, and adding height for contrast makes your display pop. A touch of greenery makes a strong impact. To add height to an object position the figurine on upside down plates, candle holders and even wine glasses.

Arrange with Your Favorite Items - Arranging Your Display

Willow tree angels and figurines can be displayed with other decorative items. Mirrors placed behind figurines can act as a reflective background. Here my Angel of Prayer nestles on a candle holder with a mirrored background. I had long stopped using the candle holders and they were the perfect size for my angels to rest on.

Creative Ways to Arrange Figurines - Have Fun!

Willow Tree Angels and Figurines are easy to display and arrange any way you like. They are small enough they can be moved when the urge hits creating a whole new look in a matter of minutes.

Angel's Embrace - A Hug from Above

There is nothing like a hug to make everything right, to remind you of how much you are appreciated, loved and valued.

An Angel is never far away, and is always around to embrace us when we need it the most.

Adding Height To Displays

Creating a unique display of your figurines is as simple as using books or shelves to get a ladder effect.

Window Sills for Displaying - Display in Unexpected Places

Window sills are the perfect size to display and arrange your Angels. This Angel of Learning sits on the window sill above my kitchen sink.

Arranging Lone Figurines

Figurines don't need to be displayed all together, but can be spread out individually in different areas of the home. Here an Angel of Happiness stands on a glass tray in the bathroom.

Create Groups of Three - Arranging in Odd Numbers

When displaying any type of knick knack try the odd number display technique. Our eyes like to pair things up so grouping objects in groups of 3 or 5 makes a display more interesting. Here a Heart & Soul Figurine is grouped with a small plant and candle holder sitting on a mirrored tray.

I hope you found some ideas for use in your displays. - Sign the guest book if you stopped and thank you for coming by!
