Best Storage Containers to Contain Clutter

Updated on October 3, 2014

Use Storage Containers for Clutter Control

We all have it: Clutter. Some of the best storage containers to contain clutter are small boxes and baskets that hold like items.

If you're like me and do crafts or have another hobby that tends to create clutter, these storage boxes and baskets are perfect for keeping things tidy.

I find also that if I take the time to get the right size container, I can fit all of one type of thing together. This makes it easy to work on a project then pack it all up again and put it back on the shelf.

I love to keep greeting cards, letters, and postcards, because frankly, anything that comes in the mail seems to get rarer all the time. They can be easily contained in a small box with a lid so you can look at them again and again then tuck them away. Neat as a pin!

Being able to keep things in a box and not all over the floor is a big factor.

@techmom: Excellent advice! I've been decluttering and yes, selling a few things I don't need any more.

@Camden1: That's a great idea. I have some large tubs that are not see through and I have to label them to remember what's inside.

When I store things in the basement, I like to use see-through containers so that i can view what's inside.

I use baskets a lot. But my best storage container tip? Declutter and have less stuff. It's a lot less mental stress, and you have more room. Plus, you can sell your extra things and earn a little bit of money!
