What are the Best Vacuum Cleaners on Sale?

There are a lot of places to find vacuum cleaners on sale these days and a lot of vacuums cleaners to choose from.

Some of the more popular brands that you will find are well known names like Hoover, Dirt Devil, Eureka, Bissell and Dyson. Of course you will also find brands like Panasonic (who knew they made vacuum cleaners?), Shark, Electrolux, Miele and Oreck. Some of these brands offer both bagged vacuums and bagless vacuums while some only offer one or the other.

This brings up a great question, which type of vacuum cleaner is better, bagless or bagged? The answer to this question is not that simple and really depends on your preference. Many manufacturers claim that a bagless vacuum cleaner is less expensive in the long run however this isn't necessarily the case. Although you do not have to worry about buying bags, which really are not that expensive, you do have to worry about replacing filters with most of the models that are sold today.

With a bagged vacuum cleaner you do have to replace a bag every month or so however this is a much better way to dispose of the dirt you suck up, the dirt and dust tends to stay in the bag and not enter back into the air. With a bagless vacuum you will find that both dirt and dust will be released into the air when you attempt to dump the canister. If you have allergies or asthma then this can really be a problem. Of course with some bagless vacuums you have to check if the bag needs to be changed, however, many new models have an indicator light that will tell you when the bag needs to be replaced.

Choosing the Best Vacuum Cleaner for You

When it comes to choosing the best vacuum cleaners on sale that will fit your needs it depends on several things. One of the decisions you need to make is whether you want a bagged vacuum or a bagless vacuum. If you have allergies then a bagged vacuum is probably the best choice for you, if not then it really depends on personal preference.

Another important decision is the type of vacuum you want, of course your choices are reduced by choosing a bagged or bagless model. If you want something with a bag then you will need to choose between a canister vacuum or an upright model, both types have their advantages and disadvantages.

When it comes to a canister style vacuum cleaner you will find that they are more maneuverable and that you are able to reach places that are more difficult with an upright vacuum such as under coffee tables or under chairs. Additionally they tend to be lightweight making them easier to use on stairs or carry with you up and down stairs. When it comes to disadvantages one of the biggest problems it that it is easy to accidentally ding up your furniture when you pull on the hose and the canister moves around. You will also have to pay more for a canister model then an upright model of equal quality.

With an upright vacuum you will find that it it can be easier to just glide the unit across your floor, especially if you choose a self-propelled model. However they do take up more space in your closet and are usually more bulky and heavier making them harder to carry up and down stairs.

When it comes to vacuum cleaners on sale you will find that there are a lot of choices, hopefully this article will help you choose the right vacuum for you and your home.

Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Bagless Upright Vacuum

In My Opinion

Although my girlfriend has two daughter with asthma we prefer a bagless vacuum cleaner, we just make sure that we take it outside to empty it so that no dust or dirt enter back into the house. Our choice in vacuums came down to price and convenience. Although operating costs are about the same as we would spend on having a bagged vacuum cleaner as we change out the filter a couple times a year, we find it is much easier to just empty the dirt container then change a bag every month.

We have the Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Pet Rewind Plus model and we really do love it. It has a fold down handle which makes it a little easier to store then most traditional upright vacuums and and the pet furniture nozzle really does a good job of cleaning pet hair from our furniture.

This powerful vaucum is fantastic! I've been using it for a couple of months now on carpet, hardwood, wool rugs, and jute rugs. It's worked very well on each surface, and moving from one surface to another is facilitated with a simple shift of a switch.LOVE the dirt finder and the self-propel features, even though I originally thought they were silly gimmicks. I rely on them both each time I use the vaucum.I highly recommend the extension hose if you have stairs; otherwise you'll have to lug the vaucum step by step, which isn't easy.
