Best Vacuum For Tile Floors

Updated on October 18, 2014

Looking for the best vacuum for tile floors?

If you were searching for the top rated vacuum cleaners for tile floors in 2013 and beyond, look no further. I've made a list of top rated Amazon vacuum cleaners here.

Click HERE to see Amazon's list of top tile floor vacuums!

Having a good and mobile vacuum can really save you a lot of time. That's why I've sorted this list into 3 categories: upright tile vacuums, tile vacuums for pet hair, and finally, cordless vacuums as well. Feel free to browse through and make your own decision. Also, make sure you leave your comments and ratings below!

Best 2-in-1 combo (cleaner and steamer):

Haan SV-60 Hard-Floor Steam Vacuum Cleaner
Haan SV-60 Hard-Floor Steam Vacuum Cleaner

The Haan SV-60 model is great for tile floors. Why? Because it is both: steamer and a vacuum cleaner. If you want to buy an upright vacuum that will do its job, it better be a combo of the two. Only steaming, or only cleaning, won't make your tile floors shiny.

This machine uses a HEPA filter and pretty much heats up in less then a minute. It will then kill all the bacteria with the steaming function. After that, you just suck the derbies and other dirt in.

Keep in mind that you're going to need to buy additional microfiber pads with this one, because Amazon has a wrong description.

The good thing about this machine is that it is light, so you will move easily across your tile floors. Some consumers say that even their hairspray gets removed from their bathroom floor after passing through with Haan.

My #1 tile floor and pet hair combo model: - This is probably the best vacuum for tile floors and pet hair.

Eureka Mighty Mite Corded Canister Vacuum Cleaner, 3670G

The dusting brush and the deluxe floor brush will make sure your pet hair gets into the vacuum, without leaving any behind.

Eureka 3670G is a very lightweight canister vacuum cleaner. The controls are very easy. Most of the consumers report that it's really a versatile vacuum. It will do wonders for your tile, furniture, as well as hardwood floors.

The real power of this machine comes with many of the attachments that you get in the box. You simply attach them to the hose and clean small areas in your kitchen that other vacuums simply can't. Where's the secret? It's in the long hose and long wand attachments that come with it.

You will have to change the dust bag very frequently, because its capacity is not that large. Keep in mind that 12 amps is pretty strong for such a convenient small model, but if it gets clogged, the power doesn't matter at all.

Top lightweight model for tile surfaces

Bissell Versus Cordless Bare-Floor Vacuum, 21R9A
Bissell Versus Cordless Bare-Floor Vacuum, 21R9A

Every once in a while you will get a vacuum cleaner like this one. It simply rocks, there's nothing else to say about that.

Weighing at only 4 pounds, even your toddler can carry it around. The directs are made in a V-like shape, and this makes picking up derbis easier (because they are all redirected into the center).

The arms are made for picking up particles and dirt from unreachable places, such as the backside of your kitchen elements.

It will always pick up small things like kernels, popcorn and pill bugs. The only real issue I have with it is that it's sometimes messy to clean.

Conclusion

I hope this article has at least helped you a bit in choosing your next model. You see, it's incredibly important to target only the products that are specifically made to meet your needs. I know that this might sound obvious, but I've seen so many customers simply pick their models based on the looks and the TV advertisements that were selling them unobtainable dreams.

It's simply not possible to have a vacuum cleaner that's going to do it all for you, especially on tricky surfaces such as tile.
