Bunk Beds are a Great Space Saver

Throughout history, bunk beds have served many purposes! From ships to cabins, bunk beds have literally been everywhere around the world! Having served so many purposes in several countries, bunk beds are still the best way to maximize space! Let's explore some of the places you may commonly see a bunk bed!

First of all, looking back at all the TV shows and movies I've seen, one of the most frequent environments for bunk beds are cabins. Many TV shows revolving around children and summer camp show bunk beds in cabins for children to sleep on. Personally, growing up, summer camps usually meant bunk beds. Why is this? It is simply the fact that they need to fit as many kids as possible into a small number of cabins!

Second, many military, army-related settings have metal bunk beds. In many movies, you typically see soldiers in boot camp or some other similar setting sleeping on bunk beds. Similar to summer camps, fitting hundreds and thousands of soldiers into small settings can only be done with bunk beds.

If you were ever in doubt of a bunk bed's ability to save space, then hopefully this will help you recognize the potentials of a bunk bed in all settings! - tvmoments

Rainbow Slides

Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold. But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow.

Just how old should a child be before using a bunk bed?

Nearly all bunk beds will be suitable for toddlers 5 years and over, nonetheless it additionally hinges upon the child. Provided that your toddler is grown enough to safely and securely ascend the bunk bed ladder, it follows that there is realistically very little rationale to not purchase a bunk bed. Usually the climb up to the top bunk is simple, however initially the descent might end up being fairly daunting. As long as a parent is there reassuring the child and additionally helping him or her see that initial step on the way down, there should be no issues.

Toddlers gain knowledge of things swiftly and mastering a bunk bed ladder will definitely occur quickly. The top bunk is a great place for a toddler to be.

Points to Consider When Choosing a Bunk Bed

An effective way to select a bunk bed is almost always to actually examine a set that's already assembled. Put your hands on the top bunk and if appropriate shake the complete assembly. Be sure to question any specific movement. Even though you intend to order a set of bunk beds to take advantage of a great deal or a sales price, it is best to always check the beds in person, when possible, prior to putting in an order.

Another significant point to be aware of will be the manufacturer's recommendation regarding weight limitations. What size will be the youngsters that will be making use of the particular bunk beds? Your lightest child should preferably make use of the top bunk. On the other hand, it's always wise to consider the age of the little one as well, as there might be essential safety issues with very small infants. The manufacturer or merchant will probably offer guidelines.

Attentively scrutinize bunk beds made out of tubular metal. They look stylish, nonetheless a few may not be adequately designed. Confirm a set is truly sturdy. The ideal sets are generally those which have a full bed at the bottom and then a twin bed on top. The broader lower bed will help produce enhanced equilibrium. Bended metal sets are almost always attractive and come in a large selection of colors to match almost all style plans.

One more thing to keep in mind is just how simple or difficult bunk beds are going to be to assemble. They look simple, nonetheless they could be somewhat complicated if you do not have plenty of experience with putting elements together. Read all the guidelines thoroughly. In case you have problems, request a friend or relative to assist you. You should ensure the bunk beds are put together securely just before your children sleep on them.

Give some thought to acquiring bunk beds that can be taken apart and used independently. This method gives you additional options as your sons or daughters grow up. Should you purchase a good quality, durable set of bunk beds that can later end up being used as detached twin beds, it will likely be a great investment that one could take advantage of for years into the future. Cost is always an important factor. Home furniture frequently has a very high mark up, therefore check around to find the most appropriate deal and obtain the most for your hard earned money.

Sadly, most of these beds are loft beds and not bunk beds. They're still really cool, though. My 2 daughters would love a bunk bed with a slide but it's very hard to find one.

I never had bunk beds growing up. I really like the ones that has the "tent" attached. This would have really saved all the card tables and blankets. I used to "camp-out" all summer in my bedroom. I can't seem to come up with a favorite. I like them all. Blessed by the SquidAngel of Home Furniture. Featured on Home and Garden SquidAngel.

I had a bunk bed when I was a kid. I had my own room, but my dad put a piece of plywood up top so I could play up there. It would have been even more fun if I would have had a slide too!

My daughter had a princess design, complete with castle tent on top, I was a bit nervous of the slide, but I had no worries, as she and her friends loved it, and were very safe!

My daughter wants a 'princess' room - she's almost 13 now though and when her friends are nearby it changes to "I want a playboy room now!" My younger daughter still has her princess room and saw the slides and has decided that she can only sleep if she has one! Great lens with great info :)

LOL the slide and tent combination with the bunk beds is everythign a kid could ask for. I remember very well when I used to be kid, that making and having a little fort in your room was about as exciting as the Super Bowl. Now kids can have a built in fort (as well as a playground for that matter) right in their bunk beds, this is a very exciting and innovative idea, I'm impressed. I think the most important information on this lens are "Points to consider when choosing a bunk bed," and "Just how old should a child be before using a bunk bed." These have relevant questions and answers that nearly all parents will have in mind.

This is a great lens, and very well done, KUDOS!!!!

These are the kind of beds I like for a toddler! My son had one - he still has but doesn't use as he did when he was younger and completely tranformed the bed into one for teenager, lol. He always had fun with his bed but the bed is also extremely useful and easy to store in a small bedroom!
