Really Cool and Cheap Folding Butterfly Chairs

Updated on March 20, 2011

Butterfly Folding Chairs

There are may different types of foldable chairs that you can purchase, but you'll find that they're not always the most comfortable. These butterfly chairs come in a wide variety of colors and materials, and they're comfortable.

Just be careful, as they're really best for children and teens, although they're ok for temporary adult use. The biggest complaint that most adults have is that the back is rather low, other than that they're find chairs for anyone.

These chairs can be used in game rooms and kid's rooms. The classic chair is great to take camping. They can be used inside and outside; although, I wouldn't leave the chairs outside 24/7, they're not necessarily water-proof, but when you have guests over, they're great to pull out and use.

If you've used a butterfly chair, and have any comments or complaints, leave them in the comment box below.

Faux Fur Butterfly Chair

This is a twist to the classic style butterfly chair. The cover is an ultra soft faux fur, that comes in lime green, hot pink, and deep purple. The chair is great for kids of all ages from young children to teens. These chairs work great in game rooms, or as spare chairs when you have more people over than you have couches. They fold away for easy storage and come with a matching carrying case.

The chair totals at 37"H X 30"W, and the seat measures 18"H X 24"W.

Pink Corduroy Butterfly Chair

Foldable butterfly chair that has a find corduroy cover. This pink chair is great for any kid's room. The chair is said to fit all sizes, but the back is a little low, which still makes it great for kids. The chair is spot clean only, so keep that in mind.

Height: 33.8 "; Width: 35.5 "; Depth: 29.5 "

Classic Butterfly Chair

The classic butterfly folding chair is a simple black frame chair with different color cotton covers. You can purchase the chairs in the basic colors ranging from blue, black, red, green, yellow, and white, or you can just purchase the covers in the same colors, as seen below. The chairs range from about $60 to $70, and the covers are about $25 each.

As for the chairs, these are pretty comfortable, and although they claim a one size fits all, they're probably best suited for kids and teens. They are great camping chairs though, just don't expect to be able to lay your head back and listen to the birds, as the back is a little short.

These chairs fold for easy storage and transport.

Classic Butterfly Chair Covers

Instead of buying chairs in every color, you can buy one chair and different covers. These are the classic style cover that fits the classic style butterfly chair, as seen above, or most other butterfly chairs, although you may have to stretch a little.  These covers come one natural, blue, red, green, black, and yellow. They are a heavy weight 14 ounce cotton material, so they're heavy duty.

I love these chairs! We also have an "Adirondak" made of wood and canvas from England. Really comfy!

I always wonder if the dang things will collapse with my weight. I better stick to that diet or I will have to keep sitting on a stump. I had no idea that the covers were so varied and some look downright comfortable.

They are actually practical too. They make great gifts for high school graduates who are preparing for college (that is, if they are going to have enough room for one in their future dorm).
