Give a stunning look to your living room by grouping apothecary jars together on side tables, mantels or window sills and filling them with potpourri, sea shells, pebbles, flower arrangements, cookies, candies, nuts or creating beautiful seasonal decorations. You can use apothecary jars as beautiful candle holders or even terariums as you can see in the intro module photo. You can fill them with water and display miniature aquatic plants. You can use them as unique candle holders, although you would have to remove the glass lid before you light them.

Give a beautiful romantic, old fashioned mood to your bedroom by grouping different apothecary jars together and filling them with flowers, candles, shells and potpourri, but also more daily items like hair accessories, make-up brushes, lipsticks and make-up accessories, cotton balls, jewellery, buttons, coins, trial size perfume bottles...the choices are really endless and what you thought of as clutter will instantly look stunning in these beautiful jars.

Cheap Apothecary Jars in Children's rooms

Apothecary jars are a wonderful way to store all those small bits and pieces and tiny little toys that clutter up children's rooms and that you keep stepping on at night! Lego bricks, marbles, miniature cars and dolls, puzzle pieces, beads, colored crayons, pens and many other things can all be stored tidily in apothecary jars and form beautiful and fun decorative displays.

Especially for childrens' rooms it is best to choose cheap apothecary jars because of the danger of breakage. Also, for the same reason and the risk of children getting hurt with broken glass pieces, you could consider the option of acrylic apothecary jars.

Acrylic Apothecary Jars - You can also find acrylic apothecary jars on Amazon

Acrylic apothecary jars are great for childrens' rooms or bathrooms or anywhere where you want the ease and beauty of decoration provided by apothecary jars but do not want the risk of breaking them

Seasonal Decor made easy with apothecary jars

My favorite way to use apothecary jars is as a fast, very easy and impressive way to change a room's decoration according to seasons or holidays.

Fill them with colorful Christmas balls, fairy lights and Christmas cookies and candies for an instant Christmas feeling, or easter eggs in Easter. Baby pumpkins, plastic spiders and scary candles make lovely Halloween displays, while red hearts and bows are great for Valentine' s day.

Pebbles, sea glass, starfish, shells, driftwood and sand add to a really simple and beautiful summer decoration. Fill them with colorful fall leaves and pine cones in autumn, lime, lemons, various fresh fruit and flowers in spring.

Stick a candle in the jar and you have instantly changed the atmosphere of a room.

Fill them with homemade cookies, candy or chocolate, homemade soap, potpourri, aromatic candles, toys, plants or whatever else you may think of, tie a bow around them and give them away as gifts.

Apothecary Jars on eBay - Find great deals on antique apothecary jars

As you see, you can find quite cheap apothecary jars on Amazon for all your decorative and household uses. However, antique apothecary jars are another matter and can be quite expensive depending on the design. You can find very good deals on ebay however.

I am not much of a decorator so I really appreciate such a simple tip. They really do look nice with many different things in them. Plants especially....but they'd have to be fake ones, I guess.
