Citrus Magic - A Green Product

Citrus magic is, hands down, the best odor eliminating air freshener spray I have found.

Notice I said, 'odor eliminating?' That's because it doesn't merely cover-up the bad odor like most other air freshener sprays I've tried, Citrus Magic actually eliminates the foul smells.

I've used this product for years. And since I found Citrus Magic, there's no need to waste my money on those inferior brands. I don't know about you, but when I try something based on its advertised claims and they prove to be false, I'm totally aggravated. That's why I'm in love with Citrus Magic — it actually works! In all honesty, it's not cheap, nor is it easy to find in stores, but it's worth pursuing. (Note: Until recently I didn't even realize that online outlets sold this product… and, they offer it for a lot less than what I'm used to paying in retail stores. Recently I purchased a 3-pack online or the price of 2 cans in my local retail store!)

Citrus Magic is 100% Natural

I live in Florida and I first found Citrus Magic in a store that sells home-grown Florida citrus. It's called Davidson of Dundee and is a Central Florida landmark. They have the very best oranges and grapefruit, and people go there in droves to have the fruit shipped all over the United States. (Now, as I'm writing this review, I'm not sure if the aroma of citrus that permeated the store was coming from the fresh fruit… or if they were piping Citrus Magic through the vents!)

They had a 'tester' can on the shelf, and when I sprayed it into the air I felt like I was transported and dropped into the middle of one of those orange groves that I'm so familiar with here in Central Florida. Oh my! For me, there's nothing like the fragrance of a freshly peeled orange. I wish you had smell-a-vision right now! The smell is so realistic, because it is real. It's made with organic citrus oil; specifically oils from the citrus peels. Imagine for a moment that mesmerizing fragrance that lingers on your hands after you've peeled a fresh orange. Yep, that's what I'm talking about. Those all-natural essential oils freshen the air naturally. I've learned that the most effective odor eliminators come from nature.

Citrus Magic is Also Environmentally Friendly!

Citrus oils are a key component in a sustainable, renewable society. I love that it is non-toxic and comes in a non-aerosol container that is recyclable. (The older I get, I'm paying more attention to the environment around me. I want to do my part to keep it safe for my grandchildren!) And, pet lovers will appreciate that it is cruelty-free; the manufacturer never tests their ingredients on animals.

There Are a Thousand and One Places to Use Citrus Magic

One of the most obvious is to eliminate cooking odors. As seafood lovers, I cook fish frequently. Sometimes it's difficult to get rid of that lingering 'fishy' smell. (I never did understand how something can taste so good and stink up the house so bad!) On occasion, I get distracted in the kitchen by that untimely but important phone call and, yep, burn the beans or the bacon. Citrus Magic is perfect for that. In fact, I haven't found a cooking odor that it didn't eliminate. Some of my previous air fresheners would mask my funky fish or fried fantasies for a little while, but then leave a lingering chemical smell which would sometimes give me a headache. Not so with this product since the ingredients are all natural fruit oils. Additionally, I am super-sensitive to strong alcohol-based fragrances; they often cause my eyes to water. But, I have never had that issue with Citrus Magic.

Since I discovered Citrus Magic I've found a plethora of uses for it. Oftentimes I give a squirt in the 33-gallon garbage can that we keep in the garage, which usually has some of my grandson's poo-poo diapers in it. Hubby and I both love to use it in our huge walk-in closets, especially near our shoe racks. I always spray my entrance way and several rooms in the house just before guests arrive. Additionally, I like a trace amount in the bedroom (on the linens), and a quick spray on a sachet works wonders in my lingerie chest. The freshly picked orange aroma is lovely when used in vacuum cleaner bags and air conditioner intake filters. Since Citrus Magic is available in three different sizes, I keep the smallest one (the 1.5 ounce can) in each of my bathrooms. That size is my perfect traveling companion as well; I use it in the car, and in the hotel or villa during our stay.

In conclusion... these are the things I love most about Citrus Magic:

  • It's a natural, non-toxic odor eliminator
  • It's made with organic citrus oils
  • It comes in a non-aerosol, recyclable can
  • A little squirt goes a long way, justifying the cost
  • It's available in a 1.5 oz. travel size
  • It comes with a 90-day unconditional guarantee
  • And... it's made in the good 'ole USA! :-)

Citrus Magic Expands Their Product Line

Citrus oils not only have a refreshing fragrance, but did you know they are a powerful cleaning agent?

It's true. I found several Citrus Magic products that work well for almost all of my household cleaning needs. For instance, I use Citrus Magic Natural Dishwashing Liquid when scrubbing my pots and pans or other items I generally do not put in the dishwasher; and I've used Citrus Magic Natural Orange Heavy Duty Cleaner/Degreaser not only on greasy messes but as a powerful stain remover on coffee, tea and grass.

They also have a product called Citrus Magic Natural Instant Spot and Stain Remover Spray that works great if you're looking to spot-clean a section of carpet or fabric. All the other ones I've used were chemically based (yuck!). Another household product I really like is the Citrus Magic Carpet & Room Freshener Pound Shaker. It's a powder that you shake on carpets just before vacuuming, and when you're finished the whole house smells like an orange grove. Plus, here's a GREAT use for the same powder… put a thin line of it around the interior of your home as a bug deterrent… they hate this stuff! Anytime one product has multiple uses I feel like I'm getting a better deal.

There's also a new product called Citrus Magic Triple Action Odor & Moisture Absorber. I plan to use it in one of my rental properties that periodically has a musty smell in the basement and laundry room area. (I'll keep you posted on the results!) Oh, and nothing cleans and moisturizes my hardwood furniture like my orange oil does. Can you tell I'm absolutely in love with this citrus-oil-based line of products? Well, maybe love is a strong word… but I sure couldn't live without them! I highly recommend Citrus Magic.

@Jackie Lynnley Citrus and fruit are my preferable scents as well, Jackie. I love this citrus air freshener so much, sometimes I spray it around the house for no good reason… just because! Yes, I'm quite fond of the orange groves here in Florida, but they're becoming a thing of the past, as we watch housing developments take over the land and deprive us of this once booming business. So sad!

On a side note, St. Augustine is also one of my favorite Florida cities. It's especially beautiful over the holidays during their annual "Night of Lights" festivities! National Geographic named it as one of the 'Top 10 Places in the World' to see Christmas Lights!

Sounds really great; I do prefer a citrus or fruity smell so this is just perfect and natural! Wow; can't beat that.

Must be wonderful being next door to an orange grove. I love Florida (St Augustine was always my favorite) but too hot for year round for me. I like to be outside most of the time. lol I would get cooked there!

@Snakesmum: Oh, I do hope you are able to find it... or perhaps something comparable with the natural ingredients of citrus oils (without the chemicals!).
