Cordless Vacuum Cleaners

Updated on August 29, 2018

Cordless Vacuum Cleaners Overview

I love cordless vacuum cleaners. As a matter of fact I love anything cordless. Battery technology today is better than ever before. I own so many different cordless gadgets and tools. I own two cordless vacuum cleaners. One is a cordless handheld vacuum cleaner and the other is a cordless robot vacuum cleaner. But I also own other tools that are cordless. All of my saws and drills are cordless, my computer, shower cleaner, you name. Just think of all the items you own that are also battery powered.

So what is so great about battery powered vacuums anyways? Don't they just die before you even finish using them. The answer to that is no. Though they do not stay charged forever they do stay charged long enough for you to get your job done and some. My favorite type of cordless vacuum cleaner is my I-Robot Roomba. I love it so much. I actually think I would get done with my work faster if I did not stand there and just watch it go. It is so much fun to see it in action and watch how well it cleans up. I find myself even throwing stuff in its way just to see if it will pick it up. Sure enough, ever time, it does.

Please continue reading below for more information on some of the different types of cordless vacuum cleaners there are available.

Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaners

Some of the best cordless vacuum cleaners are stick vacuums

Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaners are some of the most popular vacuums. They are easy to use and closely resemble an upright. They range with batter power but most of them have an 18v battery attached to them.

Most people who buy one of these are intending to use it is small areas like a basement or kitchen. Stick-Vacs are great for hardwood floors and light carpet applications. They are not that good for thick carpet or heavily soiled floors or carpets.

The Good

Great for hardwood floors and light carpet applicationsEasy to useLong Battery Life

The Bad

Cannot handle heavily soiled carpetsCannot handle large jobsSome may take a long to to recharge

Overall I would say Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaners are great for the average person. Most people use them for certain things and others use them for everything. I personally think they are worth the money. You never know when you might need it to pick some light messes.

Cordless robot vacuum cleaners are my favorite

Cordless Robot Vacuum Cleaners are some of the coolest technology I have ever owned. I love my little Roomba and use it all the time. The Roomba is just one of many brands now on the market but is still the most popular. So what are they and what do they do? They are robot vacuums that are programmed to search your room for objects and walls. After it located all of its objects it proceeds to vacuum the entire room by itself. I stand there sometimes in amazement at what it is doing.

The Good

Long battery lifeSuper easy to useFun to watchCleans Very Well

The Bad

Sometimes misses spotsLong charge time

I love my cordless robot vacuum cleaner and I am sure you will to. Try one out and see. You will then be able to do more things instead of having to vacuum all day.

Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaners

Cordless handheld vacuums are great for quick jobs and small spills

Cordless handheld vacuum cleaners are easy to use and operate. They are great for small spills or small areas of cleaning such as a car. I use mine all the time to clean along the baseboards of the bathroom or in my car on the seats.

The Good

Great for small cleaning jobsGreat for use in a car

The Bad

Not good for large jobsBattery dies quickly

I personally use my handheld vacuum all the time. If you need something to just grab in a hurry these will do great. If you need something for your whole floor one of the above choices may be better for you.
