Crock-Pot Trio Buffet
The best for entertaining...
I love to entertain and try new ways to serve delicious and for me, I like serving hot food. I wanted a Crock-pot Trio Buffet the first time I ever saw one. I could imagine all of the yummy things that can be made in a Crock-pot and times three! I liked that it could be used for appetizers, dips, soup, main dishes and even dessert.
As the said owner of three slow cookers already, I had a hard time justifying a purchase. Finally I gave myself some leverage by classifying my slow cookers as... one being very old (it was my Mom's first Crock-Pot), the second very large (think soup for a huge crowd) and the third had a digital timer that I never liked. What I really needed was a trio, all in one Crock-Pot, strictly for entertaining.
I made my purchase and have never regretted it, I love it!
I like using it anytime I have a party or family gathering and the options are endless. I can use it for a main dish of baked chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, an appetizer featuring hot dips or a dessert of warm brownies, hot fudge and raspberry topping. I can make a winter drink medley, a trio of soups or warm pasta sauces ready for an Italian buffet.
The first time I used my Crock-Pot Trio, it was so hard to decide what recipes to use. I had wanted one for so long that I had many ideas for dishes ready to go. I decided to go with a Tex-Mex buffet and placed some hot dishes that would compliment the rest of the buffet in the Crock-pot Trio. In the first pot I had a fajita medley of chicken, shrimp, peppers and onions. In the second, I had dirty rice and in the third a spicy creamed corn. The only miss-hap was that my brother thought the creamed corn was soup and ate most of it (oh well, ha-ha).
The Crock-pot Trio's removable stoneware crocks and lids are dishwasher safe, Woohoo!
