The Official Interior Design & Decorating Lens
Interior Design Tips & Advice
I have an Associate's degree in Interior Design. I have also been writing online since 2008. I have written hundreds of articles on decorating and design, and that's what this lens is all about; if I have left anything out, please add a comment or ask a question, and I will try to answer it by adding a post to the lens.

Is Interior Design the Career for Me?
It's not all fun and games. Interior Design can be hard work, and it can be rewarding. There are numerous careers that can be made out of a degree in Interior Design, from Kitchen and Bath design to Interior Decorating, and from Residential Remodeling to Journalism. It's not just about picking out color swatches and furniture styles; it's about so much more. It's about selling yourself and your product to a potential client. It's about taking measurements and estimating materials. It's about working with people and turning their ideas into reality. If you think this might be the right path for you, look into local Interior Design programs, talk to design graduates, and determine whether this is the career you want.
