Dog Bone Pillows

Updated on April 14, 2018

Neck Pillows for Reading, Travel, Comfort

Dog bone pillows are, well, pillows shaped like a dog bone. I have one that I use every night when I read in bed and sometimes when I lay on the couch to read. It props me up at the perfect angle, supporting my neck while I read my book.

Since getting Progressive lenses in my glasses, I've found reading even trickier. I now have reading glasses, so with them and my dog bone pillow, I'll all set!

These supportive neck pillows are great for long car trips or plane rides too. The strain of sitting for a long time is eased with a comfortable support in just the right place, like your neck.

Here's a photo of my trusty dog bone pillow. I love it! I use it each night when I lay in bed and read. I sometimes also use it to prop up my head on the couch while watching television.

Dog Bone Pillows in Solid Colors and Prints

These dog bone pillows in solid colors will go with nearly any bedroom or living room décor.

Choose a shade that complements your bedspread or comforter or sofa, and you're set! Sometimes it's nice to keep things on the neutral side.

If you have a neutral sofa or chairs, choose a dog bone pillow with a fun print fabric for a pop of color and texture to your room.

"We humans have lost the wisdom of genuinely resting and relaxing. We worry too much. We don't allow our bodies to heal, and we don't allow our minds and hearts to heal."

Love the animal neck pillows. I carry one of these (not the animal kind) on every flight I go on. Makes a world of difference.

YES! Mine isn't dog bone shaped. Might be better for reading in bed if it was though!

I used to have one that I used all the time. I have a feeling it is in my closet. They are very helpful. Great article!
