Euroflex Monster EZ2 - To Buy Or Not To Buy?

Updated on August 1, 2015

Euroflex Monster EZ2 Steam Cleaner - Worth It?

The Euroflex Monster EZ2 steam mop does not come cheap. So, as I'm looking through this item, I'm wondering if it is worth a buy. Compared to the Euroflex Monster Steam Jet II, it is more expensive and the features seem to be more or less the same at a glance.

So, what are we paying the additional money for? The Steam Jet II is also a steam mop that can get rid of dirt and grime and sanitize at the same time. This is what I'm actually interested in because cleaning with a traditional mop has become a dreaded chore. There should be a better alternative given that I'm not one who likes doing housework.

On top of that, with a young son at home, I'm trying to be more particular about hygiene. So, a steam mop is definitely the way to go if I'm looking for a substitute to my usual mop.

Monster EZ2 Current Deal

The Monster EZ2 is costly for a mop. No doubts about that. But if I'm looking for a floor steamer that can sanitize my floor, I might as well get something that can really clean and get rid of all the germs and what not. This is what I'm thinking of right now as I do my comparisons.

Why I Would Buy The Euroflex Monster Steam Mop

If I choose to buy the Euroflex Monster Steam Mop, the main reason would be because it comes with the Clean Blast feature. Apparently, this helps to keep the cleaned area stay bacteria-free for up to 7 days. It uses a biocide solution which you add to a separate chamber of the steam mop and the solution is also biodegradable.

Basically, I see this feature as being a step up from the usual steaming. So, if we are into flu season, steaming the floor with the Clean Blast solution would be a preventive measure I could take to reduce the risk of infections. Also, if you have a crawling baby at home, this could indeed be necessary to maintain hygiene.

The other reason I would buy it is because the amount of steam it produces seems more than adequate for the job. You can watch the video below and see for yourself the burst of steam that comes out from the jets.

The EZ2 Floor Steamer - What It Can Do

Euroflex Monster Steam Jet II

I have included the Euroflex Monster Steam Jet II here since it has pretty similar features as the EZ2. The main difference I can see between the Euroflex Monster Steam Jet II and the EZ2 is the absence of the Clean Blast feature in the former. But that translates to a pretty hefty reduction in price.

So, if you are not looking to disinfect your floor all the time, get the the Euroflex Monster Steam Jet II instead. You don't need to spend as much money to get it, which means you can use the difference to buy yourself something else!

Reason Not To Buy

The only reason that will hold me back from buying would be the price. It is expensive and I probably can get by with the Euroflex Monster Steam Jet II. The question is do I absolutely need to have the Clean Blast feature since I think this is what makes the bulk of the price difference. Do we really have to be that clean all the time?

But then again, bacteria is something that we can't see with our eyes. We can't compare which steamer will give us the cleanest floor since we can't determine how much bacteria it can kill. We can only rely on the manufacturer's claims to help us out here and in this case, I think I'm pretty comfortable with the capability of the Clean Blast feature of the Euroflex Monster EZ2. I do like to disinfect my floor every now and then and this gives the EZ2 the edge over the Steam Jet II.

Other Steam Mops I'm Interested In

Apart from the Euroflex Monster EZ2, I'm also checking out a few other steam mops in the market. These few here seem to be something that deserve a second look.
