The Gardena Grass Shears is the Cadillac of Trimmers!

Updated on September 6, 2014

Sometimes you need to do a little trimming, A gas line trimmer is overkill or too unwieldy but a grass shear would be too hard on the hands. The Gardena Cordless Grass Shears is just right! Sure it is pricier than many standard cordless trimmers on the market but you have to consider what you get. This is like the Cadillac of trimmers with the following features:

- A handle can be be adjusted for best hand position, no more carpel tunnel here!

- A replaceable blade with non-stick coating, most hand trimmers you have to throw out when their blades go dull or you have to try to sharpen them as best as you can with a file.

-Powerful Long Lasting Lithium Battery, I can't tell you how many trimmers I have thrown out because their old NiCad batteries would not hold a charge after two years.

-Wheels on the back of the trimmer allow you to easily glide it over the ground.

-Optional handle so that you can do trimming while standing, It also has an on/off switch on top to control the trimmer.

Using this Gardena trimmer is a part of my landscaping ritual on Saturdays. First I cut the back lawn with my lawn tractor. I have about a 1/3 Acre in back which is a lot using a standard lawn mover, Then I cut the front with a standard lawn mower as my front yard is much smaller. I then use the gas line trimmer to trim large areas. Finally, I use the Gardena Cordless Grass Shears to trim small areas not easily accessible with the gas line trimmer, like the top of the concrete wall that separates the front yard from our down sloped driveway.

This is a great little trimmer and I highly recommend it to anyone with landscape trimming needs!
