What is the next home improvement project you plan to do yourself ?
Such as maintenance, repairs, bathroom and kitchen improvements and so on.
I'm going to put a door shoe on my front door. There is a 1/8" gap at the bottom that allows insects to enter the house. This probably isn't a what you would call a project, as it will only take about 10-15 minutes, but it's the next thing on my list. I picked up the "shoe" at Wal-Mart, I can't remember the exact price, but it was less than $20.
I plan on installing bead board down my hallway and perhaps in my sun room.
Have fun with that, please let me know how it turned out, maybe a pic or two would be nice.
Good luck.
Thank you, we've done it in our kitchen so it should be pretty easy down the hall way. Will post pics
We are in the process of renovating a foreclosure we bought last year - we are pretty much redoing every inch of it from one end to the other ) I think our next project is to redo the kitchen.
Replacing a water heater can be one of the more costly items a homeowner is faced with. Here see nearly step by step how I replaced mine and decide for yourself if it's something you can do too. read more
Alvairs-
Vacuum the carpets. My wife knows not to let me have any power tools.
Make the call, write the check - that's me.

I hate home improvement projects; I'm so unhandy. Frankly, I don't like much of any work around the home including lawn care. And I'm too cheap to pay anybody else to do work, too. I shouldn't be a homeowner at all...
Putting down new flooring in my kitchen. It has been a very long time and it is in bad need. Also need to paint the interior of the house. Wow...I could go on and on. Tons of projects need to be done. Our house is an older home and we've lived there 13 years. Just when you get around to each room after so many years, it's time to do it again.
Where to start, that is the question. I actually have a list on the frigerator But I am thinking spray painting the outside basement doors, scrapping and re-painting the window frames (outside) then there is the matter of the missing baseboards in about half the rooms, there is still 3 rooms that need painting, one has wallpaper that must go first, then there is installing handrails....there is plenty more but I do not even want to get into the electrical and the plumbing..yet....LoL...
We are in the procedure of improving a bathroom - we are fairly much replacing every inches of it from one end to the other ) I think our next venture is to remodeling the Kitchen. For more detail about the kitchen remodeling visit http://www.dongrafconstruction.com

As the year is getting started, I have noticed that many people are getting started on various home improvement projects, so I thought I would bring back a modified version of a theme we did about two months ago. Do you have any such projects in the works? Write about them in this week’s Weekly...
