Frog Garden Ornaments | Statues and Fountains

Updated on August 19, 2014

Decorating a Garden With Frogs

If you are looking for garden decoration ideas look towards the natural inhabitants in your garden and add some garden frog statues and ornaments. Personally, I think frogs make excellent garden decor because of their natural connection with the environment, and because they are cute!

Why do some of us like frogs as outdoor decoration so much? Probably because we know they really exist and they play major roles in many stories.

Frog statues easily blend into different settings and perhaps that's why they are a traditional ornament that you will find as statues, fountain and decorations in public and private parks, as well as urban landscapes.

I like frogs, alive or as statues and you will not find any silly garden gnomes in my garden :)

In a nutshell: if you are looking for patio and garden decor ideas, look no further than frogs.

Garden Decor Ideas | Enhancing the Natural

Representations of natural creatures are easy to place in any garden.

I often let my garden grow a bit as it likes, and even though I trim edges and get rid of garden pests, etc, I like the harmony of a somewhat naturally evolving garden.

On the same note, whenever I buy decorative items - be it pots, lights or sculptures I like them to blend naturally with the setting discretely.

Anything that would disrupt the natural harmony of a garden is something I would skip. Frogs are great additions and most manage to be cute without being tacky.

Top marks for this one. I am a big fan of moving sculptures and decorations and these two frogs swing and bounce in the breeze.

Metal construction with 17 inch balancing rod. Bestseller.

Set Of 3 Metal Frog/Toad Figurines With Glass Eyes Hear No Evil See No Evil Speak No Evil

I love these! Hand painted metal frog figurines with glass eyes in the classic see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil pose.

I like the glazed metal finish and facial expressions on these. These froggies are just over 7 inches high.

Solar Powered Water Fountain With Frog

Glazed ceramic garden fountain

Of all the garden fountains I have looked at, I am really liking this one. The color is right, the frog is discrete, it is a self contained solar powered fountain, and the whole contraption is just the right size. I can easily see this one placed against a wall, near a walkway path, shaded under a bush or even in a bare rock garden.

Frogs as garden decorations? Yes? No?

OSD Audio FS525 Garden 2-Way Coxial Decorative 5.25" Frog Speaker Pair

These speaker play double functions: nice design on the frogs - and the speakers are pretty good. These are midrange outdoor speakers, so you may want to hook up a complimentary sub-woofer.

Great price for this pair of waterproof garden speakers that look like frogs and are getting good reviews.

You can find more waterproof speakers on my outdoor speakers page.

Frog Fountain Spitter with Pump

If you have a pond or fountain (or intend to build one) it is a good idea to add ornamental spitters to a water circulation system Oxygenating the water keeps it fresh and adds atmosphere with the sound of running water. Frog styled fountain spitters are a classic and will blend in extremely well in any garden.

Frog Styled Garden Hose Hider

You know how the garden hose is always lying around and making the driveway appear untidy? The solution is a hideaway storage that blends in. The upper part of the frog body lifts off and swallows up to 100 feet of garden hose.

Set of Garden Stepping Stones with Frogs

Ok, so you don't normally want to step on frogs but these stepping stones would make a splendid addition in any garden - specially if there are kids in the family. These Lilypad Lane garden stepping stones are made from cement and have peg holes on the back side so you can use them outdoor on the path or hang them on the wall as ornaments. I can see these burried in a lawn or a gravel path. Cute!

Thanks for the visit - post a croak!

My girlfriend used to collect everything with frogs on them. From indoor ornaments to garden ornaments as long as it had a frog on it.

I live in Colorado, and rarely see frogs. Maybe I should add some frog decorations to my garden to substitute!

I love frog ornaments and have two. One is a frog stepping stone and the other is a chubby little statue. Very cute lens. =)
