Rachael Ray Garbage Bowl - A Review

Updated on September 23, 2014

A Kitchen Accessory That I Cannot Do Without

I've had my Garbage Bowl for about a year now and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. I chose the red color and it looks so pretty and vibrant on my countertop, but honestly the color choice was difficult since all of the colors are very complimentary.

My Garbage Bowl is quite handy to have close by when I'm preparing a meal. No more wasted trips to the trash just to throw away a few scraps. The large size is perfect whether you're making dinner or cooking for the holidays. I also like the non-skid base that keeps it firmly planted on the counter. I don't know how I ever did without my Garbage Bowl and I could use one in every color!

I have a Texas Ware bowl (I understand they're collector's items) that my Mom left, and it looks just like these. It's what I use for scraps and vegetable peels, etc. Mine is also red. I never knew it was anything special, until I decided maybe I'd get more of them for various things. When I checked online, using the information I found on the bottom of the bowl, I found out they are collectibles. But I still use it the same way. Thanks for sharing these nice bowls.

Non-skid base? Why don't more bowls have that?

I don't have a garbage bowl, but I do use a Tupperware container for collecting scraps and coffee grounds for the composter.

Nice bowls, I have a "garbage bowl" that I keep only for compost materials! I use it everyday!
