The best gift for a gardener!

The Haws watering can is my favorite!

The Haws watering can is probably the best gift a gardener can receive at any time of the year! Mother's Day is a perfect choice because spring fever is genetically implanted in mothers.

A Haws watering can is the gardening gift of a lifetime and will last for about that long. I loved getting the one you see pictured here as a gift from my daughter for my birthday. It definitely made me feel very special and much loved.

I had always wanted a water can that had a "shower" head. Oh yeah, flowers and delicate plants love getting a nice shower in the morning, btw. Thank you, off-spring of mine, for buying me this terrific garden tool. I LOVE it.

Keep scrolling down and read the rest of this review to see why I love my Haws watering can. This garden tool is one of the best designed watering cans on the market today. I love the way it balances in my hand--it is designed with two handles for balance and effortless watering. I think I would adore getting a smaller Haws to use on my indoor plants. Hint. Hint.

All images of the Haws watering can belong to me, Mickie Gee, a practicing, gardening mom and grandmother. Use with attribution, please.

If you are looking for the perfect watering can, you need to know what actually makes a "good" one. I found a very informative article about the features of a great water can. Click Water Can Reviews to find out what to look for in a great garden watering can. The Haws measures up perfectly, in my opinion!

All of the Haws garden water cans are made in England. We all know how beautiful those English gardens are, don't we?

I have used my Haws watering can for over twelve years and still love it! The long pouring spout makes it easy to reach all plants and shower them with that lovely water.

The shower head on a water can is called a "Rose"

A Great Feature of the Haws: You store the "Rose Head" and the "Spout" right on the can!

Parts for your Haws Watering Can:

I found the need to replace the "rose" attachment on my water can. The parts are easy to find. The rose should always be made of brass. Brass roses are easy to clean and the holes do not get larger as time passes.

Only One Problem with my Haws Watering Can:

the sun and cold can damage the plastic!

I discovered too late that keeping my watering can outside in the bright sunlight is not good. The rays breakdown the plastic. That is why you see a hole on the rim of my can. I now store it in the shade or in the garage.

Don't want a plastic watering can? - Metal Haws Cans

You will have to pay more, but metal is an option when buying a Haws garden watering can. My daughter, who is an interior designer, does prefer the metal looking watering can. I find it interesting that she likes the vintage look of the metal watering cans. At least the metal can won't deteriorate in the sunlight like the green plastic one that I own.

See the Haws metal can below:

A vintage looking metal Haws Watering Can might appeal to your inner gardener!

I hope I have convinced you that the Haws Watering Can is the best one you can own or give!

Thank you so very much for visiting and reading my review of the Haws Watering Can. I hope you have decided to purchase this gardening tool for your Mom or "significant other". It would make the perfect gift for anyone who loves to work outside in the yard or has lots of containers on their balcony, too. One does not need a big yard or garden to appreciate an excellent watering can.

Looks like a great watering can. Sure beats dragging the hose out every time, which is what I've been doing.

Love this watering can. I have two plastic ones, but not like this. I had a metal one in the past, but the bottom rusted out over the years. Nice lens. Liked.

You have such a fresh style with your "spring fever is genetically implanted in mothers", is so true and you say it just right. You certainly have convinced me that every gardening Mom deserves to have a Haws watering can with all its perfect features. I especially like your caution to not leave it out in the sun, who would have thought!
