How to clean your home in 40 minutes

Updated on May 22, 2010

Looking to clean your home in less than 40 minutes? Believe it or not, this can be accomplished. You'll have to do certain things like concentrating on one task at a time instead of going back and forth. That's the main reason why some people take 2 hours to clean instead of 40 because they are switching tasks. An example of this is washing half the dishes and then going to the counter to clean it. That does not make any logical sense but people do it home. Here are a few tips to help you during the cleaning process.

If you want to clean your home effectively, it's a good idea that you put everything in piles. For example, you might have documents laying everywhere. Separate those into different piles.

Like I said earlier, stay on one task only. If you are going to wash the dishes, finish the job.

When cleaning, always rotate tasks every few days. An example of this is washing the bathroom floor on Wednesday and doing it again on Friday instead of Thursday. You can replace the Thursday task by cleaning the bathtub. This way everything stays semi-clean without doing extra work.

Keep up with your daily chores and whenever you have a mess, clean up right away. This is a big rule in the kitchen if you don't wash to wash tons of dishes after.
