I Love My Bissell Carpet Cleaner

Updated on August 22, 2014

Top Bissell Carpet Cleaners Reviewed, For Home or Business Cleaning

I think Bissell makes the Best Carpet Cleaners on the market and have used and own several of them. If you're wondering about and need a carpet cleaner, enjoy this review of several Bissell Deep Cleaning Machines I own and couldn't be without. I remember my mom using the same brand when I was growing up and although they were much heavier and bulkier back then, they've always been top notch in my book.

I'm a neat and clean fanatic and want my floors to stay looking as new and clean as possible. Keeping your carpets clean will help them last longer and it reduces dust and allergens as a very important bonus of these hard working machines.

For Steam Carpet Cleaning, we use our Bissell for home and our restaurant business because they clean great, are cheaper than professionals and work just as well if not better, they're more convenient to own than rent and we know who's dirt is in each machine unlike the rented ones. Plus, we want to clean our carpets more frequently any time of day.

We'll look at the Bissell PowerSteamer, Ready Clean, Big Green and Portable Spotlifter.

If you're wondering how these carpet cleaners work, follow along and decide for yourself which one is right for you for deep cleaning, general cleaning, spot and stain remover, pet stains or food and drink spills.

Bissell Carpet Cleaners make housecleaning a breeze!

I live on a golf course, in a newer construction neighborhood, love to garden, being outdoors as much as possible and our carpets seem to get stains and dirt no matter how careful we are. It probably doesn't help that we also love to keep the doors and windows opened for the fresh air breezes that we get from the lake. My carpet cleaners really help me to keep my carpets clean pretty easily.

My husband and I also owned and operate a 200 seat restaurant and loved to keep it clean every day for our customers. Our machines here do the job any time we need them to for removing general traffic dirt, food and drink spills and even winter salt stains.

If you're wondering how the Bissell carpet cleaners work, follow along and decide for yourself if it's not the best brand of carpet shampooers on the market. You're sure to find one just right for your home or business.

This Bissell Power Steamer Power Brush Upright Deep Cleaner is a newer version of the one I own - mine is green, they last a long time! I love that it works on carpet, hard floors, stairs and upholstery and works well. I like the wide unit base so my larger rooms get cleaned faster and find the crevise tool and tough stain tools to be the most useful. For really tough stains, I like to pre-treat them with carpet cleaner and by the time it soaks in a bit and I come to the spot, this machine removes everything I've needed it too.

We use this Bissell Big Green Deep Cleaning Professional Carpet Cleaner for our restaurant and it's simply amazing. We've had professional cleaning companies come in and first of all we have to work around their schedule which I don't like and they leave a chemical scent also don't like in our restaurant and the carpets take longer to dry. The Big Green has paid for itself by using it monthly in our business, takes out food and oil spill stains, heavy foot traffic and mud and doesn't destroy the carpeting. We use it either in the mornings before customers arrive or at the end of the shift and love that we can pull it out any time we want. We love the Big Green and if you need a heavy duty unit, you will too. It's heavy though compared to other smaller units but, clean up is a breeze and the long wand and cord allow us to do most of our commercial dining room in long sweeps.

A nice lightweight deep cleaning machine that weighs less than 13 pounds so it's perfect for carrying up and down the stairs and doing small carpet cleaning jobs quickly. Don't let 'lightweight' fool you, this machine is easy to carry if needed but, penetrates deeply into your carpeting to clean all dirt I've ever used it on plus tea and wine stains. Store it easily along with your vacuum cleaner so it's always ready. Even the kids can use this one!
