Indoor Hot Tub Spa For the Ultimate Relaxation

Updated on March 28, 2015

Relaxing in an Indoor Hot Tub

What's a better way to relax after a long day of work than to soak in your very own indoor hot tub? I'm an outdoor person and having an indoor jacuzzi wasn't one of my top priorities. However, my brother in law has one in his house and one day he invited my wife and me to give it a try. Let me tell you, it was heavenly! We couldn't get enough of it.

Of course, outdoor hot tubs have their advantages too like if you have a lot of kids or like to entertain others. However, what happens when it gets too cold or maybe even too hot to be outside? An indoor hot tub also offers you the privacy that an outdoor jacuzzi can't. I think you know what I mean :)

Indoor hot tubs are also wonderful for city dwellers who simply don't have enough space in their yard (if they even have any) for a hot tub. Yes, you can always go to a spa or health club to relax in hot water but sometimes don't you feel like not going out again after a busy and tiring day?

Just imagine stepping into your own indoor hot tub with the one you love for a romantic evening at home. The hot bubbly water and soothing jets will just melt your troubles away as you slip into deep relaxation surrounded by burning aromatic candles and tropical flowers. Aahh... life is good!

Your Indoor Hot Tub Room

If you already have an indoor hot tub built into your bathroom, you are lucky. If you don't, you can always add one to another room in your house. However, there are a few things you ought to consider.

First, will the room be able to withstand all the steaminess? If not you will need to renovate it first. You will also need good ventilation for the room.

Second, you must determine whether the floor will be able to bear the weight of the tub plus the water. This is crucial and you may need the help of an expert.

A couple of other things you have to take into account are plumbing and drainage. Again, unless you're an expert yourself, you should consult a professional. The proper planning can save you a lot of money and headache in the future.

Decorating your indoor hot tub room is the fun part. You can do anything you want to create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. You can have the ultimate spa in your very own home.
