Inflatable Hot Tub - 2013

Updated on September 17, 2013

Inflatable Hot Tub

We actually brought our inflatable hot tub some 5 years ago. To be honest we initially brought it just to discover if we would use it enough to go out and buy a more expensive rigid hot tub. No point in wasting money.

Well 5 years later we still use it, we love it and it works 100%.

We actually brought our hot tub from eBay. If I remember rightly it was an ex-hire shop model. Even though it was second hand it was in great condition. I have actually included a link further down the page to the hot tubs on eBay, as not everyone will want to buy new!

You never know you may get a bargain like we did. Maybe someone like myself who simply brought their inflatable hot tub before spending more money on a large rigid built model.

So what do I mean by "Don't Be Stupid"? Well obviously being inflatable does mean you need to inflate the sides of the hot tub before you fill it with water. Now I know what your thinking. You think I tried to fill it up before inflating the sides. Nope your wrong!

In fact, something far more stupid and in fact something I stupidly went onto do for a couple of years. Trust me I'm blushing as I write this:

For the first couple of years (each summer) I would inflate the sides with a standard pump, that literally took forever. Even as I spent all that time slowly pumping up the sides I'd always wonder what the spare pipe in the box was for? BINGO it suddenly dawned on me one day. May it was the pipe that connected the hot tub's blower to allow you to inflate the sides within just a few minutes.

Well you learn something new each and every day and YES I was stupid!!!!!!!!!

How Easy Are They To Set Up?

The following is a quick YouTube video courtesy of CMG. It shows how quick and simple an inflatable hot tub is to set up.

My Review

Inflatable Hot Tub

We actually own the 'Lay-Z-Spa' inflatable hot tub. One of the biggest advantages, being that each year you can move it into another part of your garden. Our garden has split level decking so one year we had the hot tub on the top part of the decking. The following year we tried it out on the lower section.

We even moved it inside our conservatory one winter (kids loved it).

Now I'm sure some people will say that it can't be as good as the more expensive rigid models that are around. Well I'd say 'They Are Wrong!'. I've been in both and basically the effect is the same. At the lower cost I certainly wasn't as concerned with my kids climbing all over it, as I may well of been if I had paid thousands of dollars on a high spec. rigid hot tub.

Lay-Z-Spa To Buy On-line

In hind site I though as I own the lay-Z-Spa inflatable hot tub I should really include a direct link to allow you to check out its full specification and possibly buy one for yourself.

The following is basically a brief description of the hot tub:

This is the model of inflatable hot tub we currently own.

Why Not Buy Via eBay

As I mentioned earlier, this is exactly how we brought our hot tub all those years ago. The great thing about eBay is that you will discover some great bargains.

What Do You Think NOW!

Would you now consider buying an inflatable hot tub?

Bigger Budget

Maybe your looking to upgrade from your current hot tub or maybe after reading my lens you want to jump in at the deep end so to speak.

So for this reason I have included a selection of rigid hot tubs for you to look out.
